HOUSTON (AP) _ The Houston Rockets signed their second first-round draft pick, Slovenian forward Bostjan Nachbar, to a multimillion dollar contract Thursday.

Nachbar was the 15th overall selection in the draft. Houston also had the first overall choice and drafted 7-foot-5 Yao Ming of China.

Exact terms with Nachbar were not disclosed by the Rockets, but the NBA's collective bargaining agreement's rookie payment scale calls for him to earn $3.49 million over three years.

Nachbar, 22, played his last two seasons with Italian team Benetton Treviso.

The 6-foot-9, 221-pound Nachbar averaged 9.3 points on 55 percent shooting in 65 Italian League games. Nachbar, also a member of the Slovenian National Team, averaged 9.3 points on 47 percent shooting in 33 Euroleague games.
