I know we are in need of a good center, but hes not that good I doubt that he would make the team next year. If we drafted him the rockets would probably let him develop overseas for 2-3 years, the question is would YOU use one of our picks on him with the talent available this draft?

With a pick 18-25, yes. He and Ezeli are the best centers in that range. Moultrie is not center.

If we cant strike top 5. Then - Fab Melo, Tony Wroten and Jeff Taylor.

The rockets draft will be successful if they draft (SF) T. Jones UK and trade out of 16th pick and acquire an early 2nd rd. Then w/ later 1st round pick up (C)
    F. Melo. Then w/ early 2nd grab (2G) W. Barton. That's exactly how I see a great draft!!!

Why not keep the 16th pick and trade away someone like K-Mart or Scola for the late picks? Don't get why you'd trade away a 16th pick that gives you a chance at Ross, Moultrie, Miller, Wroten, Doron Lamb, Taylor,...

Reading the previous comments, (not all of them) It seems nobody agrees on the talent we should take in the draft.

Evaluation here: Everyone says the Rockets need a 2guard and a Center. I agree somewhat...

KMart if he can start producing again (get motivated) gives us strength (He is still 28)

Lee is very talented Role player (remember he started for the Magic who went to the finals as a rookie)

Our main priority is getting a Center, or atleast someone above 6'8 (anyone else tired of undersized PFs?)

There are only about 15 players on the entire draft board (1st and 2nd Rds) that fit the height requirement (6"10 and above)

Question here is, are any of these players that are the right height worth our mid 1st round picks (assuming we dont move up)? If not, I believe we should draft talent the best talent, even if that conflicts with our strengths or promising positions (PF, SF, and PG) since it will give us better trading assets.

My question is, would you take less talent to fill a role we need over more talent at a position we are good in? (i.e. would you draft the best player available or draft at our position need)

I'd go for that if we could get erxtra picks then that's a no-brainer. Hope we can find teams that will value our assets as heavily as M does. Excellent idea though

I hope this is the draft where we finally get the chance to draft an undersized PF. I've got my fingers crossed!

I wouldn't mind M. Leonard but I was thinking how awesome it would be if we somehow found a way to trade up & come out of this draft with PG 6'2 D. Lilliard & SG 6'6 T. Ross!!

If we stick with #14 and #16 then I think we should take a C with both picks.

    Melo/Leonard, Zeller/Melo, Zeller/Leonard, Melo/Sullinger, Zeller/Sullinger, Leonard/Sullinger.
