Clowney looked f'in ridiculous in that one play cut up that OB talked about. Made Duane Brown look like an idiot... and I am officially pumped.

Yeah, looks like Clowney has that explosive first step still.

It's interesting that they didn't show anything about the Nix cut or the Savage injury.

Didn't learn too much on the James cut. We already knew they were trying to trade either him or Rolle and there were no takers. They just emphasized that Rolle was a better CB and James' lack of length could be a liability.

A little surprised they didn't show or mention Savage's injury, but the last show is all about the fringe guys making the roster and I guess they didn't want that much of a detour.

And no discussion about deciding who they picked up for practice squad or who they considered on the waiver wire. A whole lot of CJ, KB, and EZ.

Not complaining though. I enjoyed it.

Agreed. I was especially looking forward to seeing the Nix situation.

Did either guy have any sort of coverage at all for any of the other shows?

Its the typical HK formula to build up certain story lines on certain players... and have it all build up at the end for the cuts. Worked to perfection for the Charles James story. At the end of the day, its still more a TV show than a comprehensive Texans training camp coverage show.

Also, pretty sure Nix would be as big a disappointment on reality TV as he was as an NFL player.

Thanks! Now I do remember hearing Forsett talking about him playing.

What was OB saying about Clowney? Hard headed?

I'm guessing that BOB didn't have many nice things to say to Nix so they didn't want that aired.

I really wish Charles James was taller so he could have a chance to be a better player.

No, it was his version of "knocking on wood" in order not to jinx his health.

Or maybe it was BOB ripping into Rick Smith for talking everybody into that draft pick... or maybe Rick doesn't make any picks.

HK didn't clear up any confusion about the Rick Smith situation other than that he's pretty much going to agree with anything you tell him to.

Yeah, strange that they didn't cover Savage's injury or the fact that one year after being drafted in the 3rd, Nix got cut, and it wasn't that hard of a decision.

Yeah, reports coming out of camp have said that Clowney is a lot more ahead of schedule then being led on. If he's there mentally and his knee can sustain, man that line is deadly. The way O'brien spoke about him was really showing of what he sees in the guy. That practice tape was a nice thing to see, his explosiveness is still their.

Sucks to see guys get fired. Hope EZ and CJ make the squad in Miami and Baltimore. I think Rick and OB will regret keeping Martin over EZ.

I get that Jeff Alm feel about Covington. And why show Nix getting cut when he wasn't a focus on any of the previous episodes? HK played it perfectly, just a glimpse of him when everyone is being cut and a remark from CJ.

One of the best seasons of Hard Knocks in years. That was thoroughly awesome.
