It would probably end up being a win-win for her... I'd say that's pretty smart on her part.

But doesn't every Texans fan want Charles James D as well? I thought that was the case going by what fans talk about after each Hard Knocks episode.

I thought it was interesting that BOB was doing the cuts and not Rick Smith. It seems I remember it being the GM in the past, although I could be wrong.

Either way, the way he handled those guys was pretty spectacular.

Texans do have authority over what is showed. It's no surprise that they didn't show more. But what else could have really been shown? You saw BOB first hearing about it and basically saying F him and let him get here on his own. Then you saw Mallett trying to make amends with a pretty lame excuse. Sure, the clock issue has and can happen, but the timing is especially suspicious. I don't think he purposely did it, but I do have a feeling he tied one on and simply overslept through his alarm.

I don't think there was that much more drama about him being late, and probably not enough to warrant that much more time. It isn't that interesting and this isn't real housewives where they need to make a mountain out of a molehill.

As a fan, I'm not. But it's obvious that the coaching staff and HBO love them some Charles James.

It's not so much about needing to see drama or making a mountain out of a molehill but rather seeing and hearing what the rest of the team had to say about it. The guys who step out on the field with him. Not showing that might give one reason to believe some possibly damning things were said by some players and BoB had NFL Films/HBO cut that out of Tuesdays episode.

Also, I absolutely agree with your theory as to what happened. He most likely let loose the night before and overslept. Just pretty bad timing for him to do that.

Its ultimately BOB's decision as to who makes this team... and who is on the active roster week to week.

Rick Smith will still be the one to go evaluate replacements or execute trades for depth if needed... but the Texans are pretty much par for the course in the NFL in letting its head coach run the team and its existing personnel.

Thanks. I couldn't remember how others ran it, to be honest.

I just thought O'Brien was excellent in how he handled those guys. I hope he turns this team into something special because he seems like am awesome dude. Great guy to play for.

Rick Smith has zero personality. And he doesn't really seem to be in charge of anything. He just basically agrees with whatever anyone else says.
