How about this one by Neil Young... "Hey Hey, My My". The lyrics refer to The King and Johnny Rotten as rockers whose legacies live on. Hail to The Godfather.

I love that album, and the Melvins in general, but that song is not exactly very typical for them.
Not grunge but a great tune from that period <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/3L4YrGaR8E4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Since we're going all AIC in here..this one of my favorites: <iframe width="320" height="180" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/kgL3OogsvUw?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Great cut. I saw them open for (EDIT: It is not at all important who they opened for, in fact. The point is ****ing HELMET) before they released that one, when Strap It On was the only way we'd heard of them. That was at the Axiom, as I recall, and it was one of the best hard rock live sets I've ever seen. 1990, 1991? Something like that. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/CjPRTW3aOPs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Ah, yes the old H-town legends with that loud mouth Bliss-Blood on vocals. This C had the nerve to heckle Spiritualized at the Urban Art Bar back in 95, she kept yelling at them "yeah Pink Floyd did that way back with Syd Barrett" while they were playing. She needed to recognize the talent that is J. Spaceman and Co. and by comparison her little band could never hold a candle to them on their best day. No way, no mother*ucking way...
I saw a lot of great shows at the Axiom -- I bet we've slammed into each other in the pit a few times. And yeah Helmet those early albums were epic.
