This is the mentality: @ruthannharnisch May 28 Can't say it often enough:When someone says they've been sexually assaulted, Believe Them.@aelizabethclark @kamily #TEDWomen2015 #Guccihack
Maybe you should mansplain to those simple women about how you know what's best for them. I'm sure they'd love it. Women love nothing more than for men to tell them about what is going on with their bodies. "What you don't know you are a rape victim? Idiot" Get back to me about how that works out for you.
Yeah you found a random online troll, not someone in the mainstream. These mainstream people are literally saying we should believe rape accusers no matter the evidence. In any case, I agree the twitter person you posted is nuts. Do you also agree the twitter person I posted is nuts?
dude, Twitter mentions are really not the place to go in this debate lol. there is some vile s**t that goes on from death to rape threats on the constant against feminists/women/men/children. What you just said was an out-of-context quote taken a step ahead. I'm sure I could find "kill all men" or "I WILL RAPE YOU" tweets within 3 seconds lol. Basically, Twitter is a madhouse. Not large parts of it. But there's so many people that some parts of it can't help but feel like Youtube comments personified. I can agree with you that like 10% of the people on there are certifiably nuts, if you want to throw in your mainstream gal, why not. All she's saying is that she'd play in this moral opinion court too, which is dumb, but isn't exactly "I WILL KILL YOUR FAMILY" or Twitter level 5. http://www.buzzfeed.com/regajha/aft...day-university-of-illinois-student#.ukwqgL7B7 nothing good will come out of this particular debate or anecdote. We've already hit the Buzzfeed! (sorry world)
Yes, but both are nuts. We need to get to a place where racists, sexists and false accusers are all condemned.
sure let's tweet at her that the preponderance of evidence standard is better followed than none at all and ignite a random Twitter debate. you can send @chatterwhiteman a grumpy cat picture assuming that account is still around I don't think they're the same level of nuts
have disciplinary tribunals adjucated after the "Dear Colleague" letter led to a disproportionate aggregate rise in false rape accusations? http://www2.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ocr/letters/colleague-201104_pg2.html so far in this thread I have seen something like "in about 4 cases, yes" If you have something more than those 4 cases, I'm more than willing to take a look. That'd make this debate a lot more interesting.
