I'm going to guess the Wizard of Oz. But it was probably something less scary. Probably some XMas special, if those count. First at the theater would have to be a Disney movie. I wonder if Jontro's first movie was watching Debby Does Dallas with his dad.
The first one I remember seeing in the theaters was "Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind"...can't tell you much about it, though, lol.
I don't remember the first one. But I do remember seeing these 2 movies the first day they came out: We waited in line for more than an hour and a half but got in on the last showing. And The line for this movie was not as long.
I thought it was Orca, but I had to compare memories with actually movie chronology, and here's the very weird result: Murder by Death (1976). What a twisted movie for a father to take a little boy to. This explains a lot. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/2Is2-6OzdUk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
there was a cool movie that I remember watching over and over at an early age. The one where there were barbaric dressed girls in jail trying to get out. Also remember that damn mannequin movie and chucky
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055200/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 "Mr. Sardonicus".... scared the heck out of me. The other I remember is Alfred Hitchcock's "Marnie." We lived about two blocks from the old Garden Oaks Theater and so went to a lot of matinees.
