Like I said before trump has the economy ill prepared for a downturn. His tax cuts to the rich his demand for lower fed rates has diminished the tools to fight off and recover from a recession. What an idiot.
Complete and 100% agreement. The economy is really not that complicated, during upturns, high taxes, high interest rates and low deficits. Then, when you have these bumps, you can flip the switch to stabilize. Now we have no switches to flip, the economy is tanking, and we can expect for our deficits to sky rocket even more. The Republican party is simply not capable of leading.

Okay snowflake, are your feelers hurt because people are being critical of your guy. His lackluster response to this threat to our people. His constant contradictions with medical experts. His inability to take it seriously and only see it as a threat to his ability to be reelected. His constant pointing of the finger to other people for the problems that are landing on his doorstep. Last time I checked he wasn't forced to run for president. If anything people are holding him to the same standard he held all other presidents, according to his tweets at least. Oh, and who are these "many" that believe this economic turmoil that just started in the last two weeks, would have been worse under Obama? I mean other than right wing hacks looking to point the finger. Get over your demigod and look at this through the lens of whats best for our country. Stop looking at everything as us vs them because Coronavirus does not choose sides. So maybe you should stop as well.
Trump isn't responsible for the Corona virus entering the USA, it was inevitable. People criticized President Trump that he did not address the press or the US people enough, so he addressed the country about the Corona virus and still was criticized. In THAT respect I can see how the President and his supporters can feel that there is no way to win. People already are acting like the Western World is going to collapse from the handling of the Corona response by Trump. Let's wait and see what happens.
