He's going to have to find teams to eat a ton in salaries while keeping his best assets and not taking back in salary. I don't see what the incentive is for other teams to get involved.
Yes, I'm sure there's another team out there willing to pay $15 million for a broken Andrew Bogut while sending no salary out in return.
Yes, but the repeater not until next year. How the Lakers are look at it is this? w/Dwight 2013 - tax 2014 - no tax 2015 - ok w/repeater 2016 - same 2017 - same w/o Dwight 2013 - no tax 2014 - no tax 2015 - ok w/tax (but no repeater) 2016 - same 2017 - same
After hearing our presentation - especially the way Morey lays out the long term plan of being flexible to achieve whatever they want (on top of the obvious, which is we have the best FIT and roster RIGHT NOW), I am not concerned, no matter how good a salesman Cuban is, with Dallas. Having to listen to their "two year plan", which is what they were talking about on the radio in the Dallas area today (I live about an hour north of Dallas now) shouldn't sway even Dwight. I was in the car several times today and turned to the espn Dallas station and only ONCE were they talking about Howard. Can't see him, about to be 28 years old, opting for a "two year plan" when we CLEARLY give him the best opportunity to start playing for a championship NEXT YEAR.
Any idea how much money Having Bogut & Co (or just Dwight) would cost them in the new marginal tax, compared to without?
Was just on laker boards, it's amazing the level of entitlement they have. They expect Bledsoe and griffin in any clipper s n t and Barnes Thompson and bogut in a golden state s n t. Now I know the lakers would love to get something for him but that's just too unrealistic. I think the asking price from the lakers side is what will drive Dwight to eventually come to us.
Cyberx is now saying gsw have a chance But they don't it would cost Howard a ton..the fifth year and state tax there. Also they would have to trade valuable assets on the team just to land Howard ... Making houston better team as is.. Houston can do it as is then trade our assets to upgrade even more after Howard signs He's wrong about that and wrong about Hakeem not making a big impact ...this one I know for a fact. Hakeem will a big part of Howard's time in Houston it's not a one and done thing as he suggested
