More than that for me. He was our leader last year. He held the team together much more than Battier, but people didn't realize that until Shane left. I am gonna miss Chuck very much. He has done the right thing for himself. He always wanted to stay in Houston, but he wasn't going to get a better offer.
Glad to see you're staying with the team. I was at the Triple double game and a couple from out of town was sitting next to me....they didn't understand why everyone went crazy once Chuck got the triple double so i had to teach them about the man known as the chuckwagon... Anyways, i wish chuck all the best and hope he does well in Sactown but i must say i can't blame morey and the rox for not matching the deal. Too many players get crazy jack in the NBA and get overpaid but Chuck earned his payday so i'm happy for the guy...but that money is too much for the rockets to tie up with chuck since it appears they need to blow this thing up and rebuild from scratch.
imagine a day when your favorite player on the Rockets gets traded and there is no "appreciation" thread. I do. Cuttino Mobley...multiple player trade. He goes ignored.
Much appreciated. He's the epitome of a self-made man that represents the hard-working America. He deserves every single penny he gets, if not more. Wish much prosperity for Chuck with the Kings!!!
I remember his rookie year when he and Bogans were tearing it up in preseason, seemingly always of the floor diving for loose balls. I, along with the entire city, fell in love with his hustle, lockdown defense, and horrible FT form that season, and never looked back. Enjoy that contract, Chuck. You deserve it. Come back to us after we've rebuilt. Hopefully we'll be one undersized lockdown center short of a contender.

Just a question out of absolute curiosity. If Chuck does have a condition (touchwood) that sidelines him for a while, his contract still stands right? I assume a physical would have revealed an issue before he signed a contract.
I would guess that physicals just ensures that the player has no injuries but to no degree checks inner organs.
Most likely, the complete physical showed an irregularity in the heart such as a murmur which may be an indicator for further testing including a stress echocardiogram.
Thing is, the test could have been done before Hayes signed the contract and not after. Seems like incompetence on Sacramento's behalf. Chuck might have complained about pain I assume, or it's incompetence on Sacramento's behalf. Either way, hope Chuck is okay.
