I won $6 after purchasing $100 worth of Mega Millions tickets, so there's ALWAYS a chance. With Stern at the helm though, they'll get that lotto ball.

As of right now, we should go after Harkless with the NY pick. We need to also try to get our hands on Ezeli with that late round pick for Dallas if they finish in the top 10.

I'd also trade Lowry and Morris for Gortat and a top-40 protected 2013 2nd rd pick (if nash leaves), sign Gogi, Lee, and Camby back and somehow move Martin, Dally (or waive), and Ppat.

We still have a chance at that NYK pick being a lotto.
NYK'w upcoming schedule is rough, while milwaukee's is rather easy.
    NYK -
    Pacers L
    Magic L
    Bulls L
    Bulls L
    Bucks L
    Wizards W

    Milwaukee -
    Cavaliers W
    Bobcats W
    Trail Blazers W
    Thunder L
    Knicks W
    Pistons W

I could see the bucks winning all of those except against the thunder, and i could see the knicks loosing all except against the wizards. Correct me if i'm wrong but if the NYK's pick is in the lottery then it could easily turn into the anything up to the 9th pick if they can't get a better record then the teams in the west that haven't made the playoffs? Lets hope for the best.../worst lol

I'm probably the only one, but right now I actually care more for the Dallas pick than the Knicks pick. The Knicks pick has a pretty small range. Whereas the Dallas pick would be delayed a year if they can't crack the top-20. Basically that pick's worth is devalued greatly if it gets pushed back. I know theoretically Dallas can keep sucking and the pick can be worth a lot much later. But the likelihood of that is really, really small. So best to have it now.

Hmm, the Mavs are currently in 12th place. We actually need to root for them  and against Memphis/Atlanta/Orlando/Boston.

Can you imagine having 3 picks in the 10-25 range, that would be nice to flip for a number 5-8 pick.

I seriously doubt we end up with only one pick in this draft. Assets!

It'll be unprotected a few years from now. Adding too many rookies isn't the best idea anyway. Coaches tend to only play one in most cases.

The more likely scenario with multiple picks is the team trades out for future drafts. Why trade a high upside lottery guy for 3 lesser players who have greater chances of not being NBA players?

The Rockets situation is a bit different than other playoff bound teams. They already have a young core intact. They could trade three of their top paid players for picks and thus make the team even younger. They would still be able to compete and possibly contend with possibly the youngest team in the league next season.

From watching the game tonight there is no way we keep Lowry and Dragic next year. One has to go packaging one of them and a pick to move up would be amazing

They become a competitive 14th pick lottery team again.

You have been watching the games lately, huh?? You do know that depending onthe match-ups, that this team has a chance to go deep into the playoffs? You do know that we are one of the youngest teams in the league already, right??:confused:
