THE CULT will perform their 1987 album Electric, raw and unfiltered on tour in 2013, an event branded as Electric 13. Until now, The Cult have never performed the album in its entirety. The live show will also include a second set pulling from the band's eight other studio albums. Vocalist Ian Astbury commented, "The Cult's life blood has always been playing live, we are between albums and decided to continue the momentum created by Choice Of Weapon, stay in people's hearts and minds. As Love Live was such an incredible experience we have decided that performing the Electric album, an event that has been demanded by our fans and followers as the perfect live set to play in 2013." And I'm there no matter what. Holy ****, I remember seeing them at #'s in 1986 @ then their world tour at the Summit in 1989.
I'll be there. I saw 'em o their Sonic Temple tour. Astbury's voice is still great, and Billy Duffy's guitar chops rock. It oughta be a fun show!
Their last album was really, really good. I would love to see that show; wondering if they are going to come to TN.
All right! Gotta catch them in NYC.... Bought "Electric" cassette at 15 after seeing Love Removal Machine on MTV. Loved the whole album. Also, bought the next one "Sonic Temple". Liked Fire Woman and New York City That's about it. Stopped listening to the band after that. Will try to get their last LP.... My all-time Cult fave is She Sells Sanctuary
Whoa, The Cult at ACL Live... that's going to be a tough ticket to get. I saw them when they did the Love tour -- it's really cool hearing those songs live -- a definite must see if you are a fan of the band.
