Agreed: Trump made extremely poor personnel decisions again and again and again.
Pulling out of the nuclear deal was terrible.
So . . . Trump's actions "put us here"? Where? Our drone got shot down? OMG OMG. I don't even care, frankly.
Serious question: why do you call it the intelligence "community"?

Where - exactly here where now there is a real chance of military conflict.

Not sure I understand your last question or what you are trying to imply.

    Stop saying "Dude" to me.

I agree: PULLING OUT OF THE NUCLEAR DEAL WAS TERRIBLE. Trump gets a big "We hate U" for that, OK?
But, we are not at war with Iran, and we don't need to be at war with Iran.
Go on and argue how "we are now forced to have war with Iran."

The CIA are confessed liars (do I need to post liar Pompeo yet again? OK)

Why didn't the CIA agree with Trump on Iran, you ask? Why should they, I ask? Oh, coz the CIA loves the truth lol. They convince you, at least, but they don't decide policy. Believe it or not, the president is actually above the CIA! And you don't like that right now. But during a different presidency you will.

    P.S. You wrote:
"now we have a daily 'hold on to your butts' clenching feeling"
I don't. Stop reading CNN. They are messing with your butt.

You have a narrative in your head and are working backwards to fit events into your narrative.

I don't think I've watched CNN in more than 2 years besides a few clips on YouTube.

You need to separate the politicians appointed to position of CIA director who are influenced by lobbying and corporate influence from the careerist analysts.

You wrote "Intel Community" and I fail to see the community. You didn't write "intelligence people" or "intelligence agencies."
Who is in the community, and in what sense is it a community?

That's not a very effective response for the other readers of this thread, I'm guessing.

What do you think about Secretary of State Pompeo saying "We lied, we cheated, we stole. Ha ha. We had entire training courses. . . ."?

What do you think of the president who is allegedly anti-war appointing these career defense contractor grifters like Pompeo to Secretary of State and Bolton to national security advisor?

"Intelligence Community" is a spy agency term for itself, to make it seem like they are baking cookies and babysitting each other's kids with our tax dollars. Your responses are getting weaker.

What about the trained liars of the CIA?

    Or, a more serious question...

So again, if their agenda is to push for war, why didn't they lie as you admit they do so easily and testify to congress that Iran is abiding by the nuclear deal? You haven't answered this one yet.

Contrary to your wishes, the CIA cannot just cause a war with Iran by saying some ****. The president does exist, and he went his own way.

In your dream, the CIA would tell Congress something, Congress would of course follow the CIA, and Congress agreeing to pull out of the nuclear deal would lead to . . . what we have right now.

In other words, if the CIA went along with Trump, we'd be in the same place we are now! With one exception: people like you and CNN would not be blowing the CIA right now.

Are you purposefully trying to be dense?

So now the CIA lying about intelligence has no effect on causing wars. Your narrative so so jumbled here I don't even know what you are debating about.

If the CIA's agenda is to start a war, they would do what it takes under the means they have and a means they have is lying(according to you) to Congress so the president and Congress can point to justifiable reasons to go to eat to the public.

The CIA says Trump is right --> pull out of nuclear deal
The CIA says Trump is wrong --> pull out of nuclear deal
Who is being dense, CIA dude?

So your argument entirely is based on Trump not listening to the CIA thus the CIA retroactively thought there is no point in convincing congress that Iran is abiding by the deal?

I really don't get your point. We are speaking of motives and intent here, not whether the CIA was actually successful in convincing Trump.

If the CIA's agenda was to start a war, claiming that Iran was not abiding by the deal makes it easier for the likes of Pompeo and Bolton to convince the public for war.
