They were laughing when Deke went down and were so ****ing happy. Then they realized what they were doing and immediately said some bull**** about Mutumbo's hospital.

What are you talking about? The crowd gave a round of applause when they took Deke out on the stretcher...

I saw nothing like that. The announcers may have applauded Oden scoring, but I don't remember anything bad being said - I could've missed it. The fans gave him a standing ovation when he was carted off on the stretcher.

Standing ovation AFTER he was down for 5 minutes, you can tell their all douchebags when they BOO after Yao wins the tip. Blazers announcer gave a little chuckle and said that Mutumbo knows when hes hurt like hes validating his own hopes.

You want them to give him a standing ovation when he goes down?

You want them to cheer when Yao wins the tip?

And when they said Mutombo knows when he's hurt, it didn't sound like they said it with any malice to me. They were just saying he's been in the league long enough to know how bad he's hurt because he motioned for help.

I'm watching the portland announcers too, and it didn't seem that way to me at all. It sounded like they were just saying that Mutombo has been in the NBA long enough to know what a serious injury is like.

And the crowd seemed pretty gracious about it, considering its a playoff game and all. They gave a pretty good ovation.

No problem with the fans or announcers on that one. Classy response.

I did get tired of listening to their announcers on NBATV. How does a playoff game get announcers from one team? I'm listening online now.

So now it's a bad thing to give a standing ovation to Deke when he was hurt and he was going onto the stretcher? What would be a good thing? Mauling Greg Oden their own player?

First of all, I think you got the situation all wrong and even if they did those things you claim they did, you would be the same crap considering that you said you would have done the same if it happend to Roy....

seriously, forget it, it feels like im arguing with nonrockets fans here. i wouldn't be so pissed at mutumbo's injury if it weren't for what I perceived as a jab at one of our players when he was down. move on, im sorry i wasted your precious forum space.
