    How much per mile? Cheaper than taxi I must assume. I thought taxi service required a special license.

    For its initial test run this app will be available only in Austin. I pause to wonder what the prevalence of UTers using this app will be - for the purpose that you propose.

    Most of them will probably be drunk and need a ride home...i wouldn't want to be passed out in a car with a stranger though....
