Deron Williams might be the safest option out there for 12 minutes a night as a steady hand out there.
Don't know if he has an NBA out in his deal but Aaron Craft has improved the only weakness in his game, his shooting. He's an NBA quality distributor and a fantastic defender at the point. Would love to have him on a minimum deal off the bench. And he'd earn minutes too.
I don't see him being the PG of Choose. When they had Rondo and Micheal Carter Williams he was still starting playoff games. My guess is CameronPayne is then one who would be available....but CF is thinking deep I like it
i'd take him, he's exactly the kind of point we need, someone who can guard the quick 1's in this league so that paul won't get worn out. we need another beverley. defense over offense.
Idk, none of the names being thrown out sound like Morey signings. I could see Rockets signing Troy Williams and going into camp with roster as is (with a Melo caveat), hoping a vet pg shakes loose at some point during the season. Edit: by "as is" I also assume Bobby Brown is on the team, but I'd be shocked if Houston actually plans on him playing real minutes. He's our human cigar/inactive guy, even without another PG signed.
That was so long ago that our own Luther Head was his backcourt mate at Illinois. That was 20 years ago, right?!
Want. Looks like Beverley with braids. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nba/charlotte-hornets/article164226822.html
Wow, Craft has great hands and really a gift for stealing the ball! Absolutely, love his diving all over the place to make the play happen. That kind of effort can be contagious, even if its only seen in practice.
I haven't noticed a marketed improvement(not sure where all he's played to chase his stats), but you've been following that dude for years. I'm sure you know what you're talking about. Now that Bev is gone, I like the idea of Craft far more. If we end up needing a point because Taylor gets traded, I think this is a smart bet. You're not going to find a offensive performer that makes the difference at this point, so might as well get one that does it night in and night out on defense. https://www.basketball-reference.com/euro/players/aaron-craft-1.html http://stats.gleague.nba.com/player/#!/203905/
Craft is an underrated playmaker. Not fancy. But sees the floor well and makes good plays. NBA quality.
