Give him a break. As a human being, he started with an obvious genetic disadvantage, to say nothing of horrible parenting. The universe gave him little chance to be anything but a sweaty weasel.
As much as I am anxious for the Trump Era to be over with, I am not looking forward to the absolutely disastrous finale that awaits that family. Specifically Donald (the ass end of his life will be a miserable combination of health problems related to his years of abuse of unprescribed drugs and a morass of legal trouble and personal revelations/embarrassments detailing decades of misbehavior) and Don Jr (you can see him becoming addicted to fame right before our eyes, a public meltdown and prison term are almost assuredly in the cards).
How funny is this blast from 2017, vintage 45 twitter bulleying? "James Comey better hope that there are no "tapes" of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!" Hahahahaha. When he returns to television, perhaps he can have a starring role in the Biggest Loser. (He could stand to shed a few pounds, for his own good, anyway.)
Saw Avenetti decrying Cohen for "trying to play a game." Cohen flipping is going to do funny things to hyperpartisans. Trumpers will start calling Cohen a black hat, but will have to reconcile their criticism for his treachery now with the "unseemly-but-ultimately-legal" stuff he used to do for Trump. Liberals might start feeling like he's some kind of hero for spilling the beans on Trump, and might be liable to forget he's a slimeball. Some really get a kick out of Avenetti, though I'd say he's a slimeball too. It just so happens he's going after a president I hate. But we'll see this not an enemy of my enemy thing -- Avenetti will still be going after Cohen as hard as he can to further the interests of his client. Just because Cohen flips on Trump doesn't mean we've got a bunch of people on the same team. There are a lot of actors in this play that aren't wearing a jersey or a colored hat. These guys, Rosenstein, Paul Ryan, Trey Gowdy -- they're doing their own thing and who knows what side that'll put them on. They might all eat each other in the end. And, for the spectator, they won't know who to root for. It'll be like Comey: he's attacking Clinton, no he's attacking Trump, back on Clinton....
...ehrrr... ...in other words... ...we've all of us got a serious swamp to drain... ...especially when the 'gators start eating each other... ...who's for term limits? ...and getting rid of that Citizens United law/money-laundering device might be a good idea, too....
Is he seriously trying to deflect to Hillary over this? LOL. This is seriously elementary school level brainwork on display.
Just because Cohen cooperates with investigators to save his ass doesn't make him a hero. Also, I doubt Cohen is going to make up falsehoods to federal investigators to save his own skin due to the fact that those said investigators will eventually figure out whether he was lying and thus be even sunk in a bigger hole. Cohen is nothing more than a pragmatic tool to sink a horrendous ship.
For my tastes at least, CNN has been way too peppy about the whole debacle of 45. Obsessed with and happy about their unending fountain of dirty laundry. Queue: Dirty Laundry, Henley.
...you take that back. You know practically every elementary school-age kid in America has already mastered social media. ...and professional wrestling could learn a thing or two from kids about how to script a sandlot fight and make it look convincing. I'd think school kids have already forgotten more than the Donald ever bothered to learn, on average... ...school HAS been out a little while, now....
Their glee in reporting all things Trump is pure cringe, but their ratings are huge, absolutely tremendous.
wtf? Funding a nuclear project? Someone must want cohen to get some attention during the manafort trial...
While manafort's trial gets worse for manafort, can't forget about cohen... Cohen being investigated for alleged tax fraud: report http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brief...ter_impression=true&__twitter_impression=true
