Amile Jefferson would clean up a lot of issues and shouldn’t be impossible get, because the Magic are loaded at the power forward. Amile Jefferson For Jordan Johnson or a late 2nd round pick & cash Both could make the NBA roster because of fit and need.
First of all, the 3s and layups worked against everybody in the playoffs except the team with 4-5 all stars. Are you really blaming the Rockets for losing to a team with KD, Curry, Cousins, Klay, Draymond and Iggy? When the talent disparity is so lopsided its pretty dumb to blame the system when you lose. In fact you should be praising the system they even got 7 games considering the opponent has double or more all stars. Secondly EG wont be guarding Bron, it will either be Harden or WB who are both roughly 6'5. Plus, think of it the other way who will guard Harden, WB and EG? Bron? Lmao!
I don’t know if we want Harden or Westbrook guarding Lebron. It’s not a good matchup, and we can’t afford for either of them to get into foul trouble. PJ, House or Clark are the only real options. That’s why a lot of fans want a longer, defensive minded wing added to the roster.
Rebounding, Defensive stopper, offensive low post & finisher —> GLUE GUY. Brewer is more than just an outside shooter. He is energy to the point of silliness. Anderson (he did try to be well rounded) was just an outside shooter. IMO, we NEED players that make our stars shine even brighter by having well rounded skill sets and more than spacers and nothing else. I also believe shooting can be taught and b-ball IQ can’t. We need difference makers on a budget and Jefferson is one. I think he is Pascal Siakam like just needs a place to grow. To answer your question, NO.
A roster cant be great at everything if you got an Ariza clone then the offense will suffer cuz EG isnt there and even then your Ariza clone wont shut down Lebron anyway because Lebron is a max player, if a max player can be shut down by a role player then he wont be a max player to begin with.
