Your idea for the Rockets is to tank by trading the players who have trade value for future protected first round picks?

Why is media-savvy Morey suddenly so quiet?

At the minimum, he should apologize to the fans that this was not the start that the team anticipated. No excuses; they will try to fix the problems, etc. etc.

It's not that I want him fired right away . . . but the fact that he raved about the depth of the team and now this team as he assembled it can not play defense, he should be man enough to admit his mistakes and just say we will try to correct it for the sake of the fans.

All the goodwill earned from last year's overachievement is being quickly lost. Don't wait till you lose the fan base and no one shows up at Toyota Center.

I didnt mean letting him go as in FIRING him meant more along the lines of didnt do anything to keep him around nor saw his value as a future GM or anything. If he's such a wizzz why not promote them instead of letting him go. Wouldnt you pick sobe over houston? I've lived in both and i'd take that over houston in a heartbeat.

Our current players cant get it done, hence we cannot acquire superstar level talent due to the fact that "they'd rather live the good life in south beach", what's our next option? TANK and yes obtain future first rounders hoping to land the next mj, bird, lebron, etc Right? or staying pat is your choice?

Maybe we get karma for breaking promises we make to guys. To Ariza--that he will be a featured player on the offense. We did give him the opportunity but after one year, we sent him away.

Richard Jefferson had a terrible season for the Spurs last year. What did they do? Popovich worked with him all summer and now he's integrated into the team and they are tied with NO with the league-best record.

JT works hard this summer in hopes he will back up KMart. He retools his shot. Then when the season approaches, he's back to being buried deep on the bench. When he sees offense-limited players like Lee and Ish play ahead of him, can we blame him for tweeting his disappointment?

We drafted PP because he was an NBA-ready rookie. But we send him down to the DLeague without even giving him a chance to show his wares in an NBA game. Read his tweets. He doesn't even mention the Rockets anymore.

Then AB--unhappy because although management raves about him, they are not willing to put the money where their mouth is. I think even when he comes back, he will not play at the same level he played last year.

No wonder Bosh didnt buy into this bs that goes on over here. I bet that if bosh had signed here along with james and wade, he woulda been shipped by now given his early slump. Houston has little credibility especially after how badly we've treated players not named Yao Ming

When i read the title of this thread i just started laughing! I'm laughing at the idea as if it's stupid. What's funny is that literally 2 months ago Morey was God to most of the posters on this website now these same people are calling for his effin head! Fired? Are you serious? i understand why but Wow like in the world of business if you don't produce positive results then you get canned! Morey should understand that better than anyone!

Aside from the fact that I have no clue what sobe is, it comes down to Boston did not think that Morey was a worthy GM and we did. That is completely irrelevant in the end, as we have to judge Morey on his good track record. You might as well ask if Scola sucks because a great organization like San Antonio wanted nothing to do with him.

You forgot to mention being mean to Landry. You whiners can't shut up about that too, you know. Not to mention the laughable approach of "we're mean!" and"Oh, karma!". If you're going to rant that we're mean to our players, then get out of here. Because after all, an organization that is so mean and dehumanizes everything shouldn't be worth following, eh?

LOL trust me i've been LMFAO this whole season too, and the idea of firing Morey makes me jovial even though it's no laughing matter. And yes given his business nature it would do him some good to get jolted back into the reality of things because he too is probably buying into the whole "Im a God" Bull5hit!

Guess Morey finally figured out that stats can lie. I think the way the Houston organization treats its players is more of a problem then Morey is at this point. Look how the Rockets have treated its players in the past 15 years for the evidence - Rockets still owe Barkley money and won't pay up, traded good ole Hakeem because he got old on them, constantly promising rookies a shot then bench them the whole season or they get traded as salary fodder, promised Ron Artest they would try to bring him back when they had no intentions of doing so(they paid more for Ariza as evidence), promise to showcase Ariza then ship him off a year later. The list could go on and on of different instances where the organization has been questionable with its players.

I put some of this on Morey but usually the **** starts rolling from the top so if we are going to put some real blame on someone lets blame the owner who has promised much more then Morey ever has. Les is the reason we are mediocre and you can be business savy like Les and be good with money but when you are dealing with real people and personalities sometimes business is a dirty way of treating human beings. That is why nobody wants to play here anymore and honestly at this point who can blame them.

Absolutely right on all counts and yes i wouldnt want to play for the rockets if i were a current superstar in the nba. Honestly i'd rather live in Minny than Houston at least they have some really nice lakes to go fishing at once the season's over haha

What I don't get is how Morey brought Martin to Houston for his efficiency, which is fair enough, but how did his 4th qtr disappearing acts not show up in the quantitative analysis? I'm not even going to discuss his lack of d and his relative uselessness on the offensive end if he's not scoring.

He did score 31 points tonight but were the most boring 31 points I've seen from a Rocket in a really long time. It takes the fun out of games when one player does all the scoring and is as one dimensional as Martin is. Not sure if he's always been a 4th quarter no show but should definitely be held accountable given recent struggles. Hopefully we can start winning a few games or enough to keep other teams from over speculating the reasons this team sux so bad and finding out the horrible truth behind each and every player on our roster and worse of all- the mastermind of the masterpiece, our beloved DM.
