What about that famous Ralph Sampson dunk in the early 80's?

Or Chucks "thunder" over Elden Campbell where he jumped right over and through the guy - don't try and block Charles going to the rim!

I still have the poster of that monster [IMG]

On last night's on Sports Sunday show, Taylor's dunk was the #3 play of the week. A Stevie dunk was #2 and Moochie's double pump layup was #1.

    Tycoon Chip -

is that the coast to coast dunk in Orlando? That one was sweet.

My favorite dunks that I can remember are, aside from the one mentioned above:

Jim Petersen right on Larry Bird, game 5 of the 86 finals. Oooooh.

David Wood over David Robinson, in San Antonio, spring of 1991, I think. Absolute facial.

I can't remember any specific dunks from OT, but all of his were thunderous and one-handed, IIRC.

Last but not least, Sampson against the Lakers, game 4 of the WC Finals in 1986. He had a flying one-hander that was a beauty - seemed like he was in the air for hours.

    Nope [IMG]

Got it as a "hang on the wall" type poster - if I had any technical nous I could probably figure out how to scan it on to my PC, but I don't so I can't [IMG]

It's not surprising coming from someone named MoTaylor2.

Of course, tonight Francis had two jams (alley-oop from Mobley and one in the dying seconds) that top any of those that I listed. Fact is, I take his dunks for granted to an extent.

A compliment, perhaps, that we expect the spectacular from the kid?

Clyde has some nasty dunks for a supposedly finesse player.

His nastiest dunk that he's repeated that I can recall is the one where he starts on one side of the base line and jumps, goes underneath basket, turns around and throws it down from the other side. He doesn't hang on the rim or anything, but the way he just rifles that ball through is nasty.

Steve's dunk on Jahidi White and the one against Sabonis where he ends up on his shoulders were both pretty awesome.

If you guys want to see some of Steve's dunks from last year, check out the following link :
    http://www.nba.com/rockets/francis_dunk.html#top

It doesn't have the Sabonis dunk, but does have the Jahidi White facial.

If you like larger booties, Domanique Sachsa would be on that list as well.

    Best in History?

I would have to go with the one Robert Horry had against the Knicks in the finals. Game 6 or 7?

I think it was Cassell who inbounded it from under our basket and it was an alleyoop. Horry grabbed it with one hand way behind his head and threw it down on their whole team with a loud shot. That was awesome!

Rocket Freak, that was game 7. I just watched that game again on tape; jab-step to the top of the key as a fake and then skied to take the inbounds from under the basket. The best part of the play was after Robert jammed on Oakley, he just stood there and screamed in Oak's face.
