Gotta think the best they could do down the stretch is 6-6. Ideally with losses to us and Phoenix and wins against Portland and Memphis. But that is just wishful thinking. Problem is the Suns' schedule is even harder.

Let's just hope New Orleans doesn't jump in the draft lottery.

Yep, that would be just awful for us, ie if they don't get in the playoffs.

I would be satisfied if we ended up with the 14th pick.

13th is the lowest this pick will drop. Too much space between them and the other east/west lottery bound teams to fall further.

My understanding is that anyone in the lottery can get the top picks if they luck out. Is this no longer accurate?

It is, but then we don't get it. The implication was the highest pick the rockets would get.

Rockets do not get it if it's top 3

As the 13th seed, there's a 0.6% chance NO wins the lottery and a 2.2% chance they get a top 3 pick.

Then again, there was also a 1 in 10,000 chance that the Cavs would get the #1 pick in 3 out of 4 years, so..........

Just curious, if it doesn't fall in this range either year do we not get a pick at all?

and man Myles Turner would be amazing with this pick :)

I was just checking out the standings and remaining games left.

OKC is up on NOP by 1 game in the loss column and they do not own the tie breaker. That means they must stay up by at least one game to keep NOP out of the play-offs. Here are there remaining schedules:

NOP: SAC, POR, GS, MEM, PHX, HOU, MIN, SA

That is a gauntlet to say the least with the 5 best teams in the west left on their schedule out of 8 games.

OKC: MEM, HOU, SA, SAC, IND, POR, MIN

That is also a gauntlet to close out the season with 4 out of 7 games against the best teams in the West (minus GS).

OKC can not lose more games than NOP from hear on out or NOP will make the play-offs and the Rockets will either have a late 1st rounder or no 1st rounder.

I'm concerned about this pick, really want them to miss the playoffs so we can get the 14th.

How about no. Win all games. Blazers will have to do us a solid and win today Against the Pelicans.

Agree, first choice would Porzingas but Turner would be a very nice at 14 too. Then take a PG like Terry Rozier or George de Paula at top of 2nd (NY pick).

i had a feeling once kd went down with that foot injury for the season, that the league wanted ad in the playoffs to replace okc to market a.d.

jsizzle in particular called me crazy, but i just had a feeling that this would happen... i expect the pels to take the 8th seed
