How about that defense in the 4th quarter?? The help defense and rotations were amazing! It seemed like everytime a shot went up there was a player there. Also... How about not surrendering many offensive rebounds in the 4th quarter after the defense held tight? I feel like last year we'd play good defense only to give up an easy offensive rebound and put back. Tucker, Mbah, and Ariza all did a great job getting their hands on the ball.
Agreed! Honestly the effort was there all game. I know a few horrible lapses and the score would imply otherwise, but keep in mind Klay started off super hot and Nick Young was ballin out of control.
We played great D most of the entire game, GSW just hit some RIDICULOUS shots. Swaggy P put on one of his extreme spectrum games and we were able to weather it. Green going out really hurt them too. It's like Nene going out for us against the Spurs, but worse. I have a gut feeling CP3 will play that role for us this season.
Tucker and Luc were a great help to our overall defense. But my goodness, Gordon and Anderson really stepped up on defense tonight. Let's hope that continues through the season.
I'm loving that Harden, Gordon, Ariza, My Prince Luc, Tucker line up. Great defensive line up with explosive offensive potential as well
Agreed, If we solve the lapses in our transition defense we can be top 5 on defense. Top 2 on offense.
I agree it was the difference... dont forget about CP3's defense awareness an on the ball defense as well. He lead the 4th quarter comeback
Said it before and I'll say it again. People really underestimate what these new additions are going to do for this team. Although I hate the philosophy of switching everything (previous seasons it's been a complete cop out to actually trying on the defensive end) but watching these guys switch and actually know what they're doing is beautiful. There were a fair few examples in transition where we left people wide open - which is down right pathetic when you think about it - but there aren't many teams who will create those options like the Warriors do. A few times we played excellent defense and the Warriors just found someone at the end of the shot clock to break us down - again - there aren't many teams who will be able to do that. We are in for a great year. Tucker, Mbah a Moute and Paul.... Oh man. KD killed my fantasy team with 8 turnovers but I couldn't be happier.
This team is going to be able to Win Ugly, something last year's team was lacking. You can't overstate how important that trait is for a team with title hopes.
I haven't seen us play that kind of defense with so much intensity in a minute. It makes me have this tingly feeling inside
