not many coaches would have the ability to be so calm in the face of the latest storm to hit rocketville. thankfully, he has the wisdaom and the calmness to ride it out and stick with players like brooks.

way to go rockets, way to go rick

I saw many questionable subs at the end of the game. Me thinks Rick is just a lucky b*stard; the consistency of his rotations are what give him wins not because he puts in the right people. Consistent rotations develop chemistry.

I mean seriously. Chase was SMOKING it from the three point line, and decides to sub him out for Battier.

1). This is not 2005 Battier isn't the elite defender you once thought he was.
2). Good offense beats good defense. Chase's defense sucks but we weren't putting up points; Chase was.

Also. Subbing out Brooks MOMENTARILY before he realized his mistake.

To me, you leave the hot players in the game and the cold players out of it. We still won and that's why the GARM is filled with "WE LOVE YOU RICK" threads instead of "WTF IS RICK DOING" threads.

Coach was about to puke right at the face of one of the refs if he wasn't going to get that timeout down the wire.

Chase was getting smoked by Marquis Daniels. He would have to either guard Daniels or Paul Pierce, and showed himself to be incapable of doing either.

The last five minutes is when superstars can take over the game and spur massive comebacks and rally their team. I'd take Battier's defense against Pierce in the final minutes of a game vs Budinger's offense

THread title and I didn't even need to see the poster. WTF is wrong with you denniscd? I thought you were some sort of insider, now you just some kind of troll.

Also put a rock in the bench and he'll be as calm and wise as Rick the ruler.

At first glance it looks like you are chastising Adelman, but after reading again, it looks like you are showing how Rick is right and you are wrong.

Am I the only one confused, or is it just you?

No need to be thanking him. I've never been upset with Rick. This was a win that we needed, and he should've made some better decisions down the stretch. I honestly don't think that a coach deserves thanks for delivering the first three quarters and bumming out the last two minutes of the fourth. Nonsense.

    Yes, I am mad.

Chase got burned by Pierce the play before I believe. There's no way you keep Chase Budinger on Paul Pierce with a lead in the 4th. With that said, good job Rick, you made half decent rotations this game and the team managed to perform in the clutch. You're still a bad coach, IMHO.

Taking Chase out wasn't a bad idea. Time winding down you need stops and ball possession. Chase could maybe miss his next 2 shots while for SURE getting abused on the other end. It is better to not get Paul Pierce and the crowd hyped up, and let the TWO point guards control the clock.

Plus who was going to do all those last second crazy inbound passes :)
