Seriously, they let anyone be a teacher nowadays. My wife has a couple friends who are gonna become teachers and these girls are the sluttiest, skankiest b****es alive. One of them use to work at a strip club.
It was 27 years ago when I started college, and even then we used to joke about all the people who couldn't make it in business school. They'd switch majors a few times in business school, move into liberal arts, sometimes they would try forrestry. No matter what they would try, the bottom of the barrel and the last major anyone would fall back on was "elementary Ed.". Granted, I know there are plenty of gifted and wonderful teachers out there. There's just a lot of crap teachers too. I always wonder if the system is as "flat" as it appears......meaning, do the truly gifted teachers get rewarded for their efforts and talent, or does everyone pretty much get paid based on years of service.

I teach a course that our elementary-ed majors usually take. As a group, they seem to be below average in terms of ability to understand anything or desire to actually use their brains. Don't know why you would want a job putting knowledge in young people's heads if you don't care to understand anything yourself. The law prohibits relationships with those in a superior position... though maybe the video will reveal whether she was in the superior position or not. Really, they encourage teachers to assign group projects these days...
I graduated 2 years ago and from what I could tell the ed majors were typically the least intelligent kids on campus (though I guess the phys ed kids dragged them down in that regard). It also seemed like their assignments mostly just consisted of "busy work". That said, I will say that field block and student teaching seemed like it would be a huge PITA, and since I don't think I could handle teaching anywhere below the college level, I can't help but respect people who choose that as their profession.
What I'd like to know is precisely how this was brought to authorities' attention. Did the kids try to blackmail her and she wasn't having it? Seems pretty effed up to g*ngbang a teacher AND get her ass locked up for possibly 20 years. Damn.
