Texas High School Football Players Could Face Criminal Charges for Blindside Hit on Referee

assistant coach has been suspended for (allegedly) saying ref 'has to pay' .

head coach should be gone too.

high school players don't do this without tacit acceptance from coaching. and head coach is responsible for his assistants.

 

Kids are hispanic.

Sometimes it's the only one that works.

 

Most all of the SA Jay program is Hispanic. A solid third or so of the Marble Falls program is Hispanic. The thought that a ref would start dropping "beaner" or "spic" or whatever kinds of slurs at that stadium at that game is ****ing ridiculous. The NISD is going full damage control now.

I have no idea why people are making such a massively huge deal about this, other that it's now the age of tweets and twits. Ban both of the dipsh!ts from extracurriculars, ban the assistant coach that suggested it, move on.

 

I heard on 610 today that only one player was ejected initially, the guy who hit the ref first. On the next play, the player that didn't get ejected got flagged for roughing the passer for a late hit on the opposing QB. So if they're using the "racial slur" excuse, then how do you explain the following play? Was the QB shouting racial slurs too?

 

They ejected 2 kids, one of them had nothing to do with the ref hit. The next play, the kid that should have been ejected got a chickensh!t late hit in on the Marble Falls qb. Then he got ejected. They already had 2 guys kicked out for throwing punches and taking cheapshots before the ref thing happened.

 

I doubt either of these kids (or the assistant coach) would classify this scenario as having "worked"

Saying "speak English" is a racial slur?

 

In the video, they said he told a Hispanic to "Speak English, this is America" and called Moses Reynolds the n-word.

 

Such a fake apology. They're clearly trying to pass the blame onto someone else.

 

Why did they even appear on tv? They should just not said anything publicly and everyone would have forgotten about this incident in about two weeks. Now everyone knows who the students are and how they look like. That being said amazing haircut makes the video worth the watch.
