Commuter rails that take people from suburbs into the city are a good answer

There are trains in practically every city in Europe and Asia, not just nyc and Chicago. But cities in Texas are just NOT right for any type of rail. What a joke

not even commuter rails that get people from the furthest reaches of our never-ending sprawl into the city for work?

They don't have those in Europe - therefore not chic enough.

If Atlanta, a more sprawled out city than Houston or DFW, can have rail (and going through expansions too), why not Houston? Even the money suburbs in North Fulton are wanting rail. DFW already has rail to both airports. Houston is falling behind by years in the transit department and needs to catch up.

Adequate Public Transportation is one of this city's biggest failures.

Dallas does have a pretty extensive rail system.

Yeah, DFW has three main transit agencies that have all linked up rail with each other (The T, Denton County transit, and DART). Plus, there is a trolley system in Uptown Dallas and one coming soon for Oak Cliff. Atlanta has heavy rail and light rail (under construction).
