    again, he shouldn't have resisted.

It's SIMPLE, folks. Don't be an idiot and resist a cop! Not that difficult to understand...

Dont be silly. The only reason people care about Ferguson is because its controversial. If the whole thing was captured on video, nobody would have cared.

There are good cops and there are bad cops. There is good and bad though all aspects of life.

    Did you get a ticket?

I got a ticket for jaywalking on 6th street in Austin the night before Thanksgiving a couple years back lol. It sucks because you have to appear in community court before a judge. Such a pain in the ass.

There is no "just cooperate" argument when the cop himself isn't giving lawful orders.

If a cop does something like this, he better dam well make sure he is in line with the law. Tasering someone for not doing something they aren't required to do should be aggravated assault, and a super hefty civil suit against the police for giving power to someone incompetent to do the job. Cop should be facing serious jail time.

If you don't know what you are doing and you use force, it's no different from someone without a drivers license causing serious injury in a car accident, or a drunk doctor botching surgery. Power inherently comes with legal responsibility to use that power lawfully.

LOL, you call that resisting? Not for one millisecond was that deranged cop in ANY danger! It's simple, don't be an idiot goes BOTH ways! It's broad daylight, on a busy street, in front of an open business with people witnessing the entire thing....OH, and did I mention he manhandled/tasered(twice btw) a geriatric person? Over what?... a frickin inspection sticker! SMH!!!...

I agree the old man could have and should have been more compliant, BUT it was the deranged cop who escalated the situation by treating him like dirt and putting his hands on him WITHOUT warrant! It's sad that right and wrong isn't as clear cut as it once was, especially when it involves cops!

The problem with that us it's our tax.dollars that pay for it. Cops should be forced to carry some type of insurance

Nah, that would be the two posts you made here. Now let's try a retort without sounding like a preteen?

Resist what? An arrest? For what? An inspection sticker which is not required anyway?

Please explain what the old man was resisting? The cop should have let it go after the old man pointed out the dealer plates. Why did he put his hands on the old man in the first place? Was he trying to frisk him? Handcuff him? For what?

What was there to comply to? How many people out there would let a cop manhandle them for no reason, without directions or warning, and not get a little agitated?

It appears that cops are now trained to treat ALL citizens this way. The only question is how long before we the public demand some change.

Check out this article about the South Carolina shooting...the reporter mentions how current police training is that everyone including women and children can be dangerous. The bit about them training on women and child shaped targets is very disturbing.

Lol HOW in the world can this poor healthy, young, properly trained police officer protect him self from a big bad 76 year old man who's acting pretty calm? Must tackle and taze! Taze and tackle!!

Seriously totally unnecessary, weirdo ass people always trying to fight and be confrontational because of their ego. There was no protection of the people, or keeping of the peace here. Just another cop with an attitude asserting his legal dominance and a unarmed and relatively peaceful citizen.

That cop is so Drake. 23 and he on the force? Maybe this is because of all the oil boom - everybody else is out making money and this little douche is the only one left to work on the force.
