Unbelievably stupid. It wouldn't bother me if these fools were fired. How can anyone have such bad judgement? Football coaches.
Anyone have an idea wth I can hear Dave South calling the Ag's this season? They're no longer on ST790 much to my chagrin...
Grinded a win out of a pretty unwatchable 4thQ. Hoping Knight improves as the season goes on. The WR corp is too talented.
I agree. The WR talent that the Aggies have is top notch. I was disappointed in the passing game. It was still a good win, but I wasn't all that impressed with Knight.
Man... Knight sucks, guys. No tools. Hubanek should get some run next game. Knight is gonna lose us games. I don't like the idea of him throwing 40+ times, but those WR's need the ball in their hands to make plays... tough situation.
Well, he threw the ball 40 times vs. Auburn and completed 50%. That's the bad news. The good news is he didn't turn the ball over and it felt like the offense was able to move the ball at will (although they have issues in the Red Zone). More importantly, our defense is much improved this year. I think we have a shot against Alabama this year if we can avoid stumbling before we get to them. Either way, a nice road win at Auburn.
If we don't turn it over, Mazzone is legit and Chavis continues to work miracles - yeah, we have a chance to win the west. This was the year Sumlin was supposed to produce (before we lost Murray/Allen). The year that the talent and age/experience meshed, resulting in something special. Ultimately I don't think the offensive line is good enough and I'm not sure the defensive line is big enough up front to stop Alabama's run game late in the 3rd-4th. And I'm not sure Knight is capable of bringing this team back from a 14+ point deficit late should we ever fall behind. But yes, if the chips fall in a miraculous way this team could win.
Probably not (which I stated, so not dreaming). But outside of Alabama, it seems pretty even/open. Down year, but not as down as the Big 12.
My teams are the Aggies, Texans, Astros and Rockets PLENTY of reason for skepticism.....but hopeful optimism too.
That's the biggest difference in this team vs. recent years: they have enough size in the front 7 to take over the LOS and are still fast as hell on the edges. How yall stole Chavis away from LSU I'm not sure.
That was a big time program move. TAMU hadn't played ball on that level since we hired Fran (we did interview JVG post-BCG). I was really happy with that play and it's definitely paying off.
