I would actually expect Miller to have a sneaky good game this week in the passing game. Vikings defense is very sound, but they seem to be a little over aggressive to a fault. Giants had some big plays on PA/screen passes. The Vikings will get a diet of that Sunday.
The Texans were stubborn in not going with two quality backs with differing styles like a lot of other teams have; even if one of the backs is a rookie. I low-key wanted them to go with something like Forte/Henry before free agency began. Miller will be fine, they just need to get a power back to back him up.
I agree but they need to make sure it is a power back like Chubb or Perrine. And please no more LSU backups.
And they're not even giving Alfred (or any other back) significant carries. Miller: 93-351 Everyone else not named Miller or Osweiler: 18-63
My guess is that they don't have a lot of confidence in the backups. Forsett has earned some of that and he might get some more carries.
James Conner in the fourth round makes waaayyyy too much sense. I've been saying Conner to the Texans for two years now. It just makes too much sense.
Disagree. He doesn't break a lot of tackles, and that's going to hurt him behind a terrible run-blocking offensive line.
One crazy game vs the Colts he can find himself in the top 4 in rushing yds. I'm more concern about Brock than miller
Miller playing well will open things up for Brock. We've seen flashes from Brock, we haven't seen a run for more than 15 yards for Lamar. You should be concerned about the running game.
Hopefully we can establish a run game against the Colts, which should make play-action effective and take some pressure off Brock. I think Lamar's due for a big game.
