Last game of the preseason- speed and youth against scheme and hard-hittin'. I hope our secondary is taking notes when they are on the sidelines.

The Texans today released Avion Black and Lawrence Nolen the Fullback. The release of Black secures JJ Moses a roster spot and probably means Davis will back him up. Guess we're just counting the days til the Texans realize Wells is a fullback, nothing more.

Since the starters won't be playing much tonight-if it's a duel between Ragone and Simms-we should expect our first preseason victory.

Domanick Davis will get major minutes tonight.

Yeah, we can talk a bunch of smack to the Bucs like Cowboys fans were doing after their epic preseason victory a few weeks ago...

This is totally meaningless, however, we'll still get stomped...

We should see a lot of Ragone and Simms...

This is going to be a thrashing by TB's DEF against our glass-shattering OL. It would be best to play the backups for this game. But their going to get killed....

So you think we'll draft another couple quarterbacks next year?

what the hell? we need some OL, or they don't make enough qb's to finish a full season. I just hope Carr avoids a frickin' catastrophe!

Go Texans. You can cover, you can cover!

Yessir! also, Joppru underwent successful surgery today and will be out 4-6. Look forward 2 a lot of 2 tight sets tonight so Hollaway and Kent can get some fruitful work in before the season.

I would draft all Offensive lineman next year if Hollings is any good.

I believe next year will probably be mostly defense. We need quality depth on the d-line and secondary.

Right now as constituted, I would rate the o-line a 'B'.

why draft all o-linemen?? very good to great o-linemen can be had in later rounds and on the free agent market...teams just don't build o-lines in the first couple of rounds of the draft...particularly using really high draft picks like the Texans have had the last couple of years.

average to good backup QB's get traded for well more than they're worth to the team that owns them...

Defense will be a big part of next year's draft.

We need a CB to replace Coleman.
    We need a free safety.
    We need depth at DL.

agreed...i'd be willing to bet we use our first pick next year on a CB.

Exactly. We need DB's in the worst way. I'd much rather build the O-line through free agency and have more experience instead of more rookies....unless there's a can't miss stud at that position.

On the game tonight, I hope our starters only play 1 series. The Falcons and Jets situations have me paranoid....

God, these guys keep raving about Shawn King, but he's got all freaking day! I can only imagine what kind of things Carr could do if he had that secure of a pocket.

Boy can you tell the difference between the Texans and the Super Bowl Champs. It seems like they are playing at a different speed than the Texans. The Bucs defense is swarming the ball with speed and it seems as though the Texans are still unsure about what they want to do.
