If he didn't play well for Houston, then why would he have played well in Denver if he didn't come to Houston? The altitude? lol
Bullshit. Pulling the plug on the deal after a single year is balls-out ballsy. They deserve credit for cutting their losses and moving on. What'll be interesting is finding out who initiated the deal... I'm guessing the Browns called and the Texans were, like, "Uh, wut?"
Not to mention they can zoom that up even further if they want to. At the very least they should be cutting Derek Newton and giving Cush a pay cut.
Most Broncos fans were happy with his play in Denver, he quarterbacked half the season for the team that won the Super Bowl, they were doing SOMETHING right with him that was just never seen here
WOW....OK...officially believe in Bill OBrien...How in the world were they able to get the Browns to bite...WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Credit to Obrien. He meant what he said on Day 1 with this franchise. Your salary, your draft position, etc. don't mean a damn thing. He will move on.
Absolutely love the move for us, but not sure about who I want back there this year. The top three are risky for different reasons - Romo comes with a MASSIVE risk due to the Brokeback Mountain situation. Cousins can get it done at times, but I'm not sure I trust him over a whole season/playoffs. And, Jay Cutler ....here's a guy who can be a tool, but also has all the tools to get us there. He knows how to manage a game...AND can make ALL the throws.(and he'd have major weapons here) I'm assuming he comes cheaper than Romo without near as much risk...perhaps allowing room to reup AJ.
Any chance, if the Browns do cut him, that Osweiler winds up...... back in Denver? How rich would that be?
I expect whatever QB starts in DEN next year to be pretty good. McCoy is a very good offensive coach. Even Osweiler.
