wtf... so far, the two new FA signings they have made have been far from impressive. And yes, I know the cap situation...

We're still gonna take a QB with 1-1 or 2-1, Fitz is nothing more than a cheap veteran QB who provides insurance. I think this means Schaub is gone before the beginning of next week

He's only 31, he's got at least a few years left.

I'm hoping it means they have a deal in place with Oakland; 5th or 6th rounder for schaub.

Texans should have some mercy and trade Andre.

I can't believe things have gotten this bad. (Well, I can, since our FO has been clueless from day 1)

Haha I just don't get it; the plan was always to bring in a vet QB no matter who they drafted. Are you guys really saying Schaub > Fitzpatrick?

No, it's just a sad state of affairs, and mindblowing that we went from where we were like a year ago to where we are now. Tough to come to grips with the fact that we are more than likely hopeless for the next several years.

    Yes. Easily. Obviously.

In fact, I'd actually like to hear someone try to make an argument otherwise.

yeah I know you, edwardc, Cstyle, et al wanted bridgewater (I wonder why) but Fitz is a good stop gap

none of the QBs in the draft are ready

I wonder if this is an indication that McNair is going for a quick retooling versus rebuilding. Texans need 3 (maybe 4) starters out of the draft and another couple via FA. Hard to see them taking a QB to sit at 1.1 with all the other holes, right?

To all that are "pitying" Andre Johnson... why now? We shouldve done him right regardless of what we did with FA or with a draft pick and released the man at the end of the season with a conditional 3rd or 4th round pick attached... After drafting a stop gap QB in Ryan Fitz, the Texans have effectively said F/U to Andre...but why is this a surprise? We were never gonna be good immediately regardless of who we picked up this offseason via FA. or drafted...Andre Johnson's career has been trashed by our organization by providing him substandard QB play throughout his entire career. The Texans shouldve actively tried trading him or releasing him...Heck if the Texans actively tried to trade Andre Johnson to the Broncos or Patriots at the end of the season, we couldve perhaps worked out a deal for their #1 picks respectively...too late now!
