This move won't win many fans over but I think it's a very significant one. We all saw how much we struggled with Brandon Harris playing and it's vital to have 3 solid CBs in the NFL. Just think about trying to cover Welker, Thomas, and Decker vs Denver.
Wonder what the terms are, but I think McCain has become a good nickel corner. Not great, but good. I said earlier today that I though the Texans might be content to save money and let Brandon Harris have the job. In light of that possibility, I'm glad Brice is back. The Texans weren't likely to bring in someone better so at the very least, you don't lose ground at that position.
This is a move forced by striking out in the draft. Idealy, the Brice McCains of the world should be replaced by a mid-round draft pick that makes about $500k/yr. But unfortunately, Brandon Harris sucks. I just hope the cost is under $2mil/yr.
Denver has Thomas, Decker, and now Welker. The Pats have numerous weapons @ WR/TE. We need good corners and Harris is horrible. This is a good move and I'd be curious to see what we signed him for.
in a world that's being infested by slot receivers and 1990 offenses, (brice)one of the best at covering the slot receivers.. nice to have him back.
Will be one of the best slot corners in the game by end of next year. This kid has been improving tremendously.
So does this mean we will get burned for just over 300 hundred passing yards and not 400 passing yards?
Good news, when he went on IR there was a noticeable drop off, and among other factors; the texans looked horrible on pass defense.
solid move. I'm sure guys like KingStevo, NiceRollin, ryano2009 would b**** if we lost him and whine if we let him go saying we're not doing anything and getting worse
Am pretty sure everyone was being sarcastic, a lot of people have been anticipating the organization to sign Free agents by now, Mccain is a good player and it was good move by the Texans to resign him so calm your ass down.
