We hope, we hope. Just trying to temper my expectations after the disastrous Rockets/Astros seasons this year. I'm excited too, but I've been excited about Texans seasons before only to be let down once the season starts. I guess I just have more of a "show me don't tell me" attitude this year. A lot more so than in previous years.
You've figured out the score! I'm taking the same attitude. The Astro's season has been particularly difficult to stomach after last year.
Also agree, but Rockets were fools gold and the Astros still have 4 months plus to right the wrongs of the first quarter. Texans have if's in our young, but talented QB, O-line, and so on. In the end, if we gel right... it will be fun. Day at a time.
I don't live in Texas right now, so I am around a lot of fans of other teams. When we all talk about our upcoming season, I have stuck to one mind set. This is either going to be one of the best seasons we've had since prime Schaub era, or this is going to be a "blow up in our face" season. Basically, either Bosweiler is going to perform or he is not. We have the tools and the talent, and finally our FO has put it all on the line. This is boom or bust IMO. I'm tired of everyone passing us off. That being said.. here comes another 9-7 season limping into playoffs... Lets at least win AFC south again.
Apparently NFL.com doesn't think the Texans are THAT talented. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...lers-panthers-headline-10-most-talented-teams I do hope the Texans don't regret not doing a little bit more on the defense.
It's weird. Reading that article, I wanted to say this guy does not know what he is talking about at all. It's crazy to put some of those teams up there and us not even make an appearance, granted i'm a bit Homerish, but come on... Then I looked and saw that it was Bucky Brooks. The same guy who gave us the HIGHEST draft grade of A+ and the only other one was the Jags. That draft grade plus our FA acquisitions? Did he forget about us?
Doug Baldwin and Janoris Jenkins are Blue chips............. o and half of the Cowboys blue chips are their o-line and paper QB tony romo..
What would be the Texans blue chips? Watt Hopkins Brown Miller Clowney Mercilus? Maybe Joseph and Jeff Allen?
I'm a little concerned myself. I do think some of the past season IR guys have potential to be contributors
Too early for Miller and Mercilus. Jeff Allen is almost but not quite. Those three could be your risers.
Texans blue chips Hop Captain America Mercy Brown McKinney has a shot after this season. Expecting a breakout season from him.

I don't want to believe in curses, but the recent history speaks for itself.
The only news to come out of OTA's is someone getting injured, so no news = good news. See Titians camp today for proof!
