Don't know much about this guy, but if the Texans picked him up....must be good. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1753908 Longtime defensive assistant Tom Olivadotti, who served the last three seasons as the New York Giants linebackers coach, will join the Texans in the same capacity, league sources confirmed. Olivadotti, 58, will replace Reggie Herring, who departed coach Dom Capers' staff to become the North Carolina State defensive coordinator. The Texans are expected to make an official announcement on Olivadotti's hiring this week. While he had one year remaining on his New York contract, with the Giants liable for the deal, Olivadotti had been attempting to land a spot on anther staff. When the Houston spot became vacant, several coaches, including Carolina head coach John Fox and former Giants coach Jim Fassel, strongly recommended Olivadotti to Capers. The two men met late last week and Capers offered Olivadotti the job on Saturday. In 19 seasons, Olivadotti has worked on staffs with the Cleveland Browns (1985-86), Miami Dolphins (1987-95), Minnesota Vikings (1996-99) and the Giants (2000-2003).
He has alot of experience and alot of coaches around league respect him. He has been a defense coordinator before.
Well with the amount of pressure our linebackers put on opposing QB's last year, there's no way this guy could be worse.
Isn't this the guy who took all the heat as the Defensive Coordinator for the mediocre (or worse) Dolphin defense when Dan Marino was in his heyday? It's never one guys fault, though.
