Texans on a roll, Lynch is out and it's time for the rest of the NFL to take us seriously. Texans 30 Broncos 17
Texans 31 Broncos 21 Mike Vick is my boy but if the Broncos let him throw for almost 300yds then I know D. Carr will pick them apart Carr 320+yds 3tds Davis 22att 105yds 1td (about time) Johnson 10rec 125yds 2td Gaffney 4rec 40yds 1td
Run defense will be tested, D-line watch for the chopblocks. Carr should have a big game, Mile High is tough for qb's though. Next 3 games tell us much about the Texans. Whoopass.
From the live chat with the ESPN NFL power rankings guy..... Chet (Houston): Are the Texans good enough to make the playoffs this year? I think they have improved substantially from the past 2 seasons! NFL Power Ranker: (4:34 PM ET ) Yes, they're good enough. The AFC South is tough, but Leftwich's injury is a big blow for the Jaguars. Houston should stay in the playoff hunt all season. Going on right now live on ESPN.com
Let me be the first to say, DD is gonna have a big day--much bigger than the rest of his season. 175 composite yards and a TD. Carr exposes the hole left by Lynch, Texans win 27-13
This will be a tougher game that many of you are predicting. It's in Denver which is a very tough place to play. The loss of Lynch does hurt the Broncos badly. They do still have someone named Champ Bailey to cover AJ. A lot will come down to how the 2,3, & 4 receivers do and how DD performs. If they do their job, the Texans should win. Texans 27 Broncos 21
It's at Denver, but I think we have a chance. Droughns is gonna run all over us though, so the D is gonna have to keep up the great work.
The Broncos need a win in a bad way, but I think we have a lot of momentum and can really hit it with a win in Denver... Texans: 31 Broncos: 24
Texans 24, Broncs 20 After having his now infamous "gaff" in the endzone replayed on ESPN 1000s of times, and with AJ being blanketed by Champ, Gaffney will explode and redeem himself. Afterwards, in a passionate interview, he tells ESPN to go f*ck itself and claims that fox is the worldwide leader in sports.
Broncos 27 Texans 13 Carr will by stifled (175 yards, 0 touchdowns, 2 picks) but DD will have a HUGE day! (125 yards, one touchdown)
I get the feeling that the Broncos will jump out to a 14-0 or 17-0 lead due to Capers conservative playcalling. Then the Texans comeback due to opening up the offense but it's a little too late: Broncos 31 Texans 24
If the running game fails (again), can we please please please pass more often? No shame in using the pass to set up the run. Plenty of Super Bowl winning teams have done it in the past. So, let's hope Caper's learns his lesson and calls the game plan that suits his personnel, not his Abstract Vision of the Perfect Game Balance.
how is tony hollings progressing? last i heard he was inujured and if we can get him playing 100% than we'd have a pretty mean three headed monster at running back, kinda like the broncos. Texans pull a stunner at mile high 31-33
