I have to say that Hutchinson is one tough cookie. We were nailing him on every pass and he kept standing in there.
Since its the end of the season I wouldn't mind seeing him return a couple of kicks also. He might run one back and increase his R.O.Y. chances.
It would be nice if he would get it, he had a rough start but he is getting smarter and better each game. Who do you think is ranked ahead of him for the ROY?
As far as all around ROY Big Ben will win that but for defensive ROY it will be between Dunta and John Vilma (MLB Jets).
Typically, ROY awards aren't as effected by team records. But the New York connection is a factor. Vilma is definitely more visible. But just looking at the stats, I don't see how anyone could take Vilma over Dunta. Dunta has three times as many sacks as a corner rather than a linebacker. He's got more interceptions (which is to be expected) and Dunta is tied, if not the league leader, in passes defensed. That's pretty impressive. Plus, those that have seen him play know that for his size, Dunta is a stellar tackler. He has laid some monster hits on some much bigger players this season. It will be interesting to see how it goes down.
the NFC sucks. i mean absolutely sucks. the very fact that the Bears were still in contention for the playofffs tells you all you need to know. the NFC West may be among the worst divisions I've ever seen. we talk about imbalance in west/east in the NBA and NHL...but the AFC is so much better than the NFC this season, it's silly.
now that i look back, Babin and Robinson have been pretty solid...looks like this yr's draft might be one of our best if Earl becomes entrenched as the starter at safety.... =)... and i didn't even mention the henson thing yet either.... lol
If we had Miami in our division instead of Indy we would be in the playoff hunt AFC South Texans Dolphins Titans Jags AFC East Pats Indy Jets Bills Plus it makes more since than having Indy playing in the south.
Also, If we had the cowgirls in our division, we would be in the playoff hunt. Also, did anyone see Vinny after the game, nice hat.
