IIRC based on his current salary, the WR tag # would be something like $27M+.
Not sure if they would go that route

They can franchise tag Diggs after this year? Interesting. Didn't know. Might not be a bad route to go to keep him for a little bit and he still gets an elite salary, so I'm sure he'd be relatively happy w/ that. Might not be the long-term deal he wants though.

The latest I've digested is they can still franchise tag him at about $27M, but would not be eligible for a comp pick. I believe he would most likely return on another 1 year contract if he returns in 2025.

I doubt they go that route, even if they are allowed to after only having him for one season. And it really wouldn't make much sense to do that since franchise tags typically piss off players, so if you were willing to piss him off, then just keep the contract already in place and don't void those future years.

So I don't have an MBA or an accounting degree. Was this a good trade?

The Coleridge probowl video made it across twitter again. Diggs son, "Throw me the rock." What got lost on me the 1st time was Coleridge's response: (turns to Stefon.) "He is picking up bad habits already, I see"
lmao. That was funny. You'll laugh later.

If Allen says that he is getting suckered punch in the face.

These all seem like a clear message to someone *coughBillscough*, but I think it’s pretty obvious he’s happy to be out of buffalo

went and found it… there was also another tweet that involved him throwing to Diggs and ppl commenting “cj out here recruiting” but it was around the same time jamarr chase was posted saying he would play with CJ then he came out and said “calm down I ain’t leavin Joe”

so I think we all just forgot about it.

but that got me thinking… remember all the stories about CJ going to the front office and asking for Tank Dell? I’m pretty sure all those reports were confirmed.. so it’s reasonable to assume that they called up CJ and asked what he thought of Diggs, or maybe cj came and said “let’s trade for Diggs” after we failed at Allen and showed we were willing to trade for one..

I dunno, but as I’ve admitted, caserio and co. Have earned my trust, and I think CJ/Demeco > Diggs’s attitude.

There was this post by Mixon too
    "

I think it is pretty safe to say there were some behind the scene talking/recruiting by CJ, Mixon, and Diggs

Chase will extend with the Bengals once Justin Jefferson and the Vikings set the top end. If they aren't able to move up and draft one of the top 4 QBs, this may not happen until next year.
