Barring a trade, Caserio wouldn't be here until after the 2020 draft. Assuming he comes to Houston, his first draft would be 2021, and still missing a first round. So there's that...
Wow, you can't be serious. McNair never said anything racial at all. The whole "inmates running the prison" thing wasn't racial unless you are super thin-skinned and just looking for an excuse to be outraged. Anyhow, I do like the revamped line and am optimistic that the offense will be much better than last year. Deshaun might be in line for MVP with some solid o-line play... especially now that the defense is weaker with Clowney gone... going to see some track meets.
It more than about draft picks. The Astros player development was top notch...along with picking the RIGHT players.
Bluff???? The Dolphins got two #1 draft picks and a #2 for the 11th best left tackle in the league.... think about that for a bit. The Texans paid a massive cost for a player that is good but not great.
If the Texans can protect Watson, and the Defense stays healthy, the Texans have a legit chance. I hated the Clowney trade, but at the end of the day, the Texans have added legit protection for Watson. And protecting a Franchise QB is paramount, if the protection is weak the QB is a sitting duck, and at that point, it’s all for nothing.... Texans were playing from a weak hand, and they paid a premium because the whole league knew it. Bob, just bought himself a playoff seed, but the cost was steep!
Wow! Alot to give up but i like the two players we got... BOB better make this offense one of the best in the NFL for all he is giving up.
Draft picks are overrated in the NFL especially if you don't have a QB. We have a franchise QB and now a legit LT to protect him for years. That's way more valuable then a draft pick.
One thing i think being overlooked in this trade is the Texans have obviously moved on from the boy Scout mentality that they had under Rob... Will be interesting to see how that plays out moving forward.
I hope you guys understand that there is a madman running our team ATM. Giving away valuable draft picks like candy and horribly mishandling the Clowney trade. I know we needed a LT, but you don't give up 2 1sts and a 2nd to get one.
Whomever voted NO is either not a Texans fans or they want Watson end his career the way Carr did. Smh...
I keep hearing “franchise left tackle”.... that isn’t what the Texans got. He isn’t a top 3 LT, he isn’t a top 5 LT... he isn’t even a top 10 LT.
Y’all want Watson to retire early this trade help Watson ALOT which is the main focus of the franchise he IS the Franchise !
