Patdstat put a tweet couple of weeks back mentioning Walter football having personal issues with Texans
I don’t know about the Texans organization, but I can tell you that a lot of people involved in the NFL and the media that covers the NFL have a real strong dislike for Bill O’Brien as a person. He is considered extremely arrogant, can become personal in attacking people’s reputations and jobs and has been caught numerous times talk poorly about people behind their back. As far as I know no one has anything personally against Bob or now Cal McNair. There have been questions about their decision making and perhaps the elder McNairs politics but nothing to the level of dislike.
This, I believe. I thought O'Brien looked like a real ass on hard knocks. I'm really tired of the guy.
This offensive line continues to grow into a formidable unit! Nice.... Tunsil seems to be doing quite well. And the bonus is the Stills is a legit 2nd or 3rd option, depending how one view Fuller.
Stills have been much better than I expected. Not to mention Akins wouldn't of scored that second touchdown today without Stills key block around the goal line.
Big game by the blockade known as Tunsil. The protection got better, but the run blocking got worse...but i think that is in part because the Chargers have a good Dline. Good game... keep getting better.
I wonder what the posters that said the Texans only got one guy that can play out of the 2018 draft think about Akins performance yesterday?
Akins was awful last year, couldn't block a gila, but that's why you can't grade drafts off one year. Him having Daren Fells this season is helping him out a whole lot too
Or maybe it takes time to build a cohesive line? Fulton was out yesterday. They need time together. Panthers were attacking Greg Mancz/Tytus Howard. Without Fulton, that was the weakness. Fulton helped Howard against the Chargers and he played well. Rome wasn't built in a day.
Honestly I'm not worried about the line. Watson holds the ball way too long but I really think Watson and the line look a lot better with better playcalling.
Wait so this guy used to run a franchise? He still doesn’t understand that offensive lines take time to gel? He doesn’t understand that a lot of those sacks are because Watson holds on to the ball. Crazy.
How many more years do u want to give BoB to develop an oline he personally let degrade into the shtty thing it is today?
Actually, Bob wasn't the GM that let players go. If you say the GM has the power, Rick Smith let Brandon Brooks and Ben Jones sign elsewhere. Also, Smith did not sign any decent linemen, really. You can say "the coach wants certain players". Well, it is the GM's job to make personnel decisions. We know O'Brien didn't want Brock (he never met him), but Bob McNair told Rick Smith to get a QB. Brock was signed. You can't develop a Line from **** players. Has Bob ever had good Oline players to work with (besides Duane Brown, who Rick Smith traded on the order of Bob McNair). The Line has been an ORGANIZATIONAL problem, no just a Coaching problem.
