i will bold it next time to get my thought through your head. U seem to think that since BoB was able to find a franchise Qb, he's absolve of any wrong doing.
No, just pointing out that apparently out of all the coaches and gm’s the Texans have had, he apparently gets the credit for finding their first franchise QB ever... according to you.
the fk, u r the one that said that. I said he had a role in drafting watson, just not the sole person in deciding to get him..
Yeah, you're giving him credit for acquiring Watson... a guy who's playing like a for-sure franchise QB that in hindsight would have been drafted #1 overall. You're giving him credit for drafting the team's only franchise QB ever... something they've desperately never had. Whatever makes you happy, I guess...
what point are u trying to make holy fk. Are u saying BoB deserves no credit for drafting the team's only franchise QB ever? Cause I am saying he deserves some credit (not all) b/c he had a role in the drafting, cutting and trading of all Texans transactions during his time here. So yea he was involved in drafting our franchise qb, but he was also involved in getting rid of our oline, trading our best lt, getting rid of Clowney, not developing any outstanding olinemen + tight ends. He's also was involved with the signing and trading of Shtweiler. Idk what the point u are trying to make/prove. one good move, doesn't absolve BoB shtty track record.
Ok, you made your point... BOB was involved in drafting Watson. Congratulations. Go back to intricate typing of curse words and intermittent capital letters. It's charming... and mature.
What are u even trying to argue about? it's like u are just sprouting random bs, just state your point and we can progress from there.
You already made your point, and repeated it again and again. BOB's idiocy helped lead them to getting Watson. We get it...
There obviously was hardheadedness on both sides of the fence when it came to Clowney/BOB. I wonder what caused their relationship to sour so quickly. Clowney's gone so I'm really not worried about him now. I will root for Clowney to do well in Seattle.
Listening to SiriusXM NFL pregame show last night... Although it was focused on GB/CHI and NFL 100, Brandt kind of out of nowhere brought up the Tunsil trade in a "Blueprint for Success" discussion about how to build a team. Gil Brandt, "I think [the Texans] made a great trade. You want to protect a young quarterback, you’ve got to have that left tackle." Pat Kirwin, also a former NFL front office guy, "When we left camp I asked Bill O’Brien ’What’s the number one priority here?’ and he said, ’I’ve got to protect this quarterback. We’ve got one of the best quarterbacks going right now, we can win a Super Bowl with this kid.’ so the Tunsil trade made total sense to me. And Will Fuller is always down with injury, so you go I out and get Kenny Stills! I thought it was a great trade."
Awesome interview. Sounds humble, thoughtful and extremely well-spoken (especially for a lineman). Got the correct verbage down and is already aware of the MOST IMPORTANT numbers. Not (less than) 10, as in holding penalties in his career. Not 62, as in sacks on DW4 last year. But ZERO...., as in 0 bits of actual information in an interview, and 0 sound bytes that could be used as bulletin board material. He's already got that perfected. Would've been hilarious if someone asked him how he liked playing for Obie-wan so far............ ......"Good coach, always helpful to the other guys, great attitude, comes early, stays late, trying to be the best coach he can be. Fun guy (or is that fungi) to play for."
Gil Brandt is one of the few ex-cowgirls I actually like and I respect his opinion. Like the player more and more as time goes by. It's just the compensation package that's still hard to swallow,
