if you apply pressure you will break them. we have holy phenoms to get to the quarterback. (barring injuries)
Baltimore and Green Bay set up nicely as primetime games. Hell, if the Bills are doing ok, a Mario Williams reunion might be a worthy flex candidate. If Tebow goes to JAX, I could see that game being a target for primetime as well. Can't wait for the schedule to come out.
In all honesty I would love to have Tebow as a fan of just about any team as a goal line/short yardage QB. We would be unstoppable inside the 10 with Tebow and Foster. But the fan/media outcry for him to play more might be unbearable. I could see a team like the Pats putting him in a role like that.
Pats do some clever things, but they don't play pee-pee games, especially not at QB. He's not going to the Pats.
Because of TV contracts fox gets the NFC games. CBS has the right to AFC games. The NFL wants CBS and fox to both have a national game on turkey day, and since FOX is clearly gonna pick the Cowboys every year, they rotate Fox gets the Lions one year, Cowboys the next. Fox gets the cowboys in 2012. Because of the contract cbs can only have a lions game if they are playing an AFC team, and only two AFC teams go to Detroit this year. Us and the Colts. With Peyton gone, we're the higher profile team. Not a done deal, but it seems all but a sure thing.
Meanwhile. Hasselbeck, Gabbert, Luck. 6 instant wins. Other crappy QBs: Sanchez, Garrard, Fitzpatrick, Ponder. That should be 10 wins and a defacto division title. Manning, Brady, Rogers, Cutler, Flacco, and Stafford will be where we determine our seeding.
I just noticed we've lucked into (or conversely been screwed into) playing Baltimore in 4 of the last 5 seasons. That's insanely bad luck. Especially considering we lost all 3 of the previous meetings. '08- Interdivisional game. Loss '09- No game '10- 2v2 from '09 records. Loss '11- 3v3 from '10 records. Loss '12- 1v1 from '11. Also an interdivisional game.
Kind of like how the Rockets kept getting scheduled against the Suns on the tail ends of b2b's a few years back. At least it's at home this time. Oh well, the Dolphins probably feel the same way about us. 6-0 and counting.
Compared to last year, that's a lot more good QB's we'll be seeing. Wouldn't mind placing more value on a CB2 and/or a TE covering LB specialist.
