Hollings to miss with knee injury By JOSEPH DUARTE Texans running back Tony Hollings, the primary backup to Domanick Davis, suffered a bruised right knee in a non-contact drill during Thursday's practice and is expected to miss Sunday's game at Detroit. Hollings, in his second season with the Texans, underwent an MRI on Thursday. Results were not available. "I don't really know what I'm looking at," Hollings, 22, said by telephone Thursday afternoon. "It shouldn't be anything serious. There's a little amount of pain, but I don't think it will be serious enough to keep me out two or three weeks." Following the Texans' two-hour practice at Reliant Park, coach Dom Capers would not speculate on Hollings' status, other than to say the team is in a wait-and-see mode. "That's really all I know," Capers said. It's Capers' policy that players who don't practice on Fridays — which is unlikely in Hollings' case — don't play on game day.... Jonathan Wells is expected to serve as the backup.... ________________________________________ That sucks. I think the Texans are going to come out and play very physical. Texans win
aint no way the boys comeout lackluster again...I expect to see better playcalling on both sides of the ball....less run and more pass....can you say blitz? Comeone guys....we got some good recievers and a qb with a rifle for a arm....how bout going deep every once in a while huh? and while we are at it.....someone give DD some damn Stickum ok? as a homer, I expect wins every week...but I really think the Texans will be better focused and prepared for this game..
texans better win this week... now it's time for me to go listen to steve underwood speak.. one of big shot titans guys who supposedly was involved heavily in them moving.. time to vomit
Yep. When he was with the Rams he was Big Play Dre and then you had Big Game Holt. I would like to see that 99 Rams team play the 85 Bears. On turf not on grass.
Texans - 17 Lions - 14 Without Bly, maybe we air it out to our recievers more. With Hollings hurt, his carries will probably turn into passes, atleast I hope they will. Carr with 3 touchdown passes!!! If I get drunk enough, maybe I can make myself think it happened.
Texans 172 Lions 3 Dunta will be lined against Williams. If he just keeps Roy from having a field day, this one will be in the books. I hope Eric Brown has a better game.
Couldn't figure that out either. Unless Capers figures since Roy is a rookie he's not their best WR. According to the official site "Glenn was expecting to see Charles Rogers here but the hard luck Rogers broke his collarbone again." Well okay... do you just let a pro bowl CB take the next guy in line instead of the next best WR? Makes no sense isn't Hakim faster than Roy? Seems to me you put your faster more inexperienced CB on the faster and not as talented Hakim and your wily veteran CB on the not as fast rookie.
Boy, you bring Wells in on 3rd down and you are pretty much telling the defense you are going to throw the ball.
Harrington has a bit of an advantage since Detroit's offense is based on 3 step drops. You'll rarely see Harrington take his time in the pocket.
