48 minutes x 2 positions / 4 people = 24 minutes a game each. You can subtract 6 minutes from ones in a slump per game and give to who's performing. Fresh legs forever.
He's playing well. I'd like to see him improve on finishing around the basket better/stronger. D-Mo could do better at that, too. A couple of games back McHale said he was more worried about that (missing layups, chip shots, etc.) than all the 3's (and other shots) that weren't falling.
The best part is that he returned to form AFTER the trade deadline so that Morey couldn't trade either him or DMo, thereby keeping the two headed Mo-Jo monster.
Not trying to bash Jones, but at age 23 we need this guy to be more than just "back"-- we need him to improve. Good that he's bringing energy and hustle, but lets see if his smarts, footwork, etc. are where they need to be.
I liked your humorous approach on him more. This is still Harden and Howard's team. It's on them in the playoffs. When Jones is 25 or 26 nearing his prime or in his prime we can talk about a much bigger role.
Jones is a starting caliber big man. 15-9 with 2 blocks and good percentages, mark it down. He is proven. (The defense needs work, but that is most young players...)
When T-Jo is 26 he will be playing for another team. Morey needs shiny new toys every year so he, as well as D-Mo, Brewer and even, at some point, Harden will be part of some new "championship" upgrade. We'll never get to the top because, I fear, we will always be changing the basic roster parts.
I remember when I was one of the few that said we can not trade this guy. And alot of yall just forgot what he brings to this team.
