I have a vision of the future:

-Court dismisses the case or asks him to pay a relatively small fine & serve community service
-Terrence is embarrased & sorry for what he did or what happened
    -Terrence volunteers at the food-bank
-Gets to see the other side of the homeless with a first hand experience
-Chron.com publishes an article with quotes from Terrence's experience
-Terrence grows up a little bit more
-Clutchfans moves on to another Lin thread

This is a half a truth! You are only allowed to express an opinion as long as it coincides with 99% of the board or be prepared for the wrath of khan!!!
Insults will be thrown your way to emphasise your ignorance and a condescending tone will be displayed to further prove your inferiority! If your opinion
happens to be wrong you will be classified as a CF dunce.....#BEWELL#

(P.S.) cops are scum of the earth and should be treated as such....

There is no evidence that the officer has relented on the "stomping" point. A properly constructed charging document will use lesser terms so that there is less chance of an aquittal. The charging documents often times only contain the bare minimum required information.

This story is just way overblown. Some of you guys are just bored. It has been a very long Offseason.

The plot thickens. Apparently, the homeless man was wearing a Lin jersey.

There are only like 2 sentences in that article that even address what happened and it's the same thing that's already been said. It's filled with a bunch of details that are supposed to make you feel bad for the homeless guy, period, and you fell for it. Like i said earlier, if it had been some drunk guy, it wouldn't get this much attention, unless that guy had a story to tell, then it would be big news.

In other words, the charging document contains only terms of which the prosecution feels nearly 100% certain about. Obviously, that's not the "stomp" aspect in this case. Considering they felt confident enough to use it three times in a press release on the incident, including in the headline, the sudden switch to a more cautious strategy is a little odd.

This thread needs to be locked already. It's a misdemeanor and Jonas probably settled it out of court with the Bum so we can move on.

I just want to see Jones suspended for a few games and let it be.

Tjones may or may not be a thug.

The cop may or may not be trying to be PC

The homeless person may or may not be a good person.

At this point, we don't know which are true. Any combination could be and would greatly change the outcome of this case and perception of it. Tjones could be a thug that was drunk and decided to have fun with a homeless guy that never hurt anyone and got stomped on. OR, Tjones could be guilty of only goofing around and accidently bumping a guy on the street, without knowing he was homeless.

Why. He has not been found guilty yet. We need him for those few games.

Actually he was wearing a clean leather jacket. Pretty nice for a homeless drug addict.

Jones has been told by the Rockets coaching staff to grow up multiple times last season. He needs to become more mature and walking out of a bar at 2am and just being in that situation is not a sign of it.

    2-3 games will be fine.

Do you really think Parsons and Co all go to bed at 10 pm, stay away from the club scene, and don't goof around?

The only difference was TJ got "tangled" up with the homeless guy. Everything else is pretty typical for someone his age and most NBA players.

Where did you hear this? I don't remember hearing this from any official source. Some random Clutchfan or alleged insider doesn't count.

Young, dumb, pay the fine and do right youngster. Thank GOD I didn't live in todays days and time with twitter, instagram, twitpic, camera phones, samsung 4 (video stream) etc..... The ish I did in would have landed me in some serious trouble. Being 22 in Houston in 86" was a lovely time for a single young man.
