I know shutting Meyers leonard down in summer league is a small sample. In college and high school, even as a SF, he was guarding many centers.
I think he will be a great defensive center.

    High school career

He was the #8 player in the class of 2010 by Scout.com, #9 player in the ESPNU 100, and rated as the #13 player by Rivals.com. Jones led Jefferson High School to three straight Oregon class 5A state championships between his sophomore and senior years. On January 20, 2010, it was announced that Jones was selected to the 2010 Junior National Select Team. The team played at the 2010 Nike Hoop Summit at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon on April 10. He was also selected to play in the 2010 McDonald’s All-American Game and the 2010 Jordan Brand Classic.

Averaged 32 and 13 as a senior in high school.

In a league where small incremental advantages in talent yield large incremental benefits in success, I don't want a poor man's anything. Les Alexander is a rich man; he should buy the top-shelf stuff whenever possible.

another 5 star thread from coachBADlee, your thread/ post seem to be just getting worse and worse. You just compared a Superstar Center whose proved himself to a mid 1st round draft pick, who doesnt even know what position he plays in the NBA,ugh smh.

Coach please give up your thread making abilities, please!

THANK YOU!!! This guy has beyond a man crush on these rookies. Not wanting to give them up because they COULD turn out to be good is one thing, but this comparing him to Howard crap is ridiculous. You said T.Jones was the #8 player in the class of 2010 by Scout.com, #9 player in the ESPNU 100, and rated as the #13 player by Rivals.com as a selling point on him....well Mr.Dwight Howard was the #1 player in the class of 2004 by Scout.com, #1 player in the ESPNU 100, and rated as the #1 player by Rivals.com...whats your point?

Whether or not we should trade for Dwight isn't really relevant here, the point is that you're using the fact that we have Terrance Jones as a reason why we shouldn't go after him!!!....smh

This little tidbit slightly contradicts the giant bold font.

You're talking about the guy that said Jeffery Taylor could be James Harden on offense and Battier on defense. Postbadlee strikes again!

What's funny is that if Jones was still in high school 3/4's of this board would be wanting to tank so that we could draft him #1 in 2014,based on that video.

I don't see into the future like most of you people but IMO Jones has a very legitimate shot at becoming an all-star level player at the 4.I certainly wouldn't compare him to DH because their game's are like night and day.

It also appears DH's offensive game peaked in high school and hasn't advanced much at all.All just pure athleticism. If he start's to decline there is nothing to fall back on.If his back is not 100% his game will suffer tremendously. You don't need to be a soothsayer to figure that one out.

he thought last year's team could win 2 championships.

obviously he doesn't know what a championship team looks like.
he sure knows how to assemble a D-league team though.

Hah... not sure if serious...:confused: you usually at least have some sense behind your opposing views but... Howard? T. Jones is 6'9 and is NOT a shot blocker... thanks for the laugh tho

Terrance Jones did look extremely impressive in High School against High Schoolers, and he could end up being a very good PF in the NBA, but it is absolutely LUDACRIS to compare him to Dwight Howard, for many reasons, one of which being that their games are like night and day.

Yes you are right. One can shoot and the other can't. Both can play and defend PF's/centers.

Dwight Howard is an awesome defender, but he can't guard quick PF's with range(Dirk, Bosh, etc.) very well (unlike T.Jones who maybe could). And T.Jones hasn't played an NBA game yet, but one can definitely assume that he can guard quick PF's but not Big Centers (Bynum, Gasol bros., etc....unlike the best Center in the NBA can).

Neither player can guard both. And if you think that T.Jones and Dwight have everything in common except the fact that
    Then, I guess that:

    Goran Dragic > John Wall
    Kevin Martin > D.Wade
    Chase Budinger > LeBron James
    Luis Scola > Blake Griffin
    David Andersen > Andrew Bynum

since one can shoot and the other can't.....
