Terrence Jones is like Dwight Howard, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant combined, and he has potential to be on Lebron's level as well depending on how well he does in the summer league this year.
I love Jones and think he is the best of our picks but im from K.Y. so i dont know if my opinion even counts but saying Lebron or K.D. is definetly pushing it.Dude will be a beast though. No doubt
Jones has looked great so far, I will give you that. He is a work in progress but, so far, I would say he plays long, is very strong, has great handles for someone his size, and has both an outside set shot and some post moves. He plays hard. He stays focused on the task at hand and does not get distracted by the score or overly excited teammates/opponents. Whereas Donuts looked all-world one game and rotten the next, Jones was steady with a solid effort through both. All this after two summer games, but its all we have at this level. So far, so good.
How did this reach 5 pages... Tjones and howard are comparable? LOL Is it bc there black and muscular thats the ONLY comparison I see. Wow
From Kelvin Sampson on Jones Terrence Jones: “I just like him. I just like his game. He has a lot of old school in him. He’s 6-9, he has a 7-2 wingspan. He’s left-handed and I think that’s an advantage for him as well. Terrence just has to become more vocal. We depend on our bigs to be air traffic controllers in the back of our defense, calling out pick-and-roll coverages; in the middle of the floor, that’s a different coverage than it is on the side of the floor. Listen, we’ve only had 5 days of practice and a couple games. None of these guys is close to a finished product. But I’ll tell you, if he was a stock I’d buy his stock.” http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/coachs-corner
Actually, this is true. There are 7 billion people on earth. Jones is one of the 6,999,999,996 people on earth that are a lesser Howard, with only Lebron, Durant and Kobe being a greater Howard.
He reminds me alot more of a Forward in the mold of a Josh Smith type. I do not see a Center who can anchor your defense. So no, not even close to being a comparison to Dwight Howard, but he still could turn out to being a real nice player.
