Take the blinders off, the Patriots don't even draft that well, it is just assumed that anyone they take will be good. Meanwhile the Raiders pick anybody who runs a fast 40 and its assumed that he'll be a complete piece of ****. Its a stereotype, and it has it merits. The Raiders have taken more than a couple of pieces of complete **** in the 1st round over the past decade. Jamarcus Russell is the worst #1 pick in NFL history, Heyward-Bey sent me into conniption fits. It was that pick that made the Raiders a complete laughingstock and rightfully so. The kid works hard, and he has improved since his rookie season but there was just nothing there to warrant his selection. Luckily Al Davis is an excellent drafter after the 1st round ends. Lamarr Houston (2nd), Matt Shaughnessy (3rd), Jacoby Ford (4th), just to name a few.
