freedom of the press does not mean free from criticism

it's not like Trump is wiretapping CNN reporters' phones (that was Obama)

Trump isn't criticizing the media, he is attacking it to delegitimize it so he can spread his lies and propaganda. He attacks the media because they call out his lies. Is there bias in the media that deserves criticism? of course there is. But at least CNN retracts stories and fires people - there is accountability - unlike with the Trump admin. And Trump is going far far beyond that and taking pages out of despot's playbook. He isn't undermining the media, he is undermining our democracy. And if you don't think that's a threat to the right, if you are so stupid to think this only hurts the left, then you are complicit in that destruction. Because the time will come when a radical liberal will gain power as a reaction to something, and the precedent (a word our president can't spell) has been set to attack the media and spread propaganda.

The right must stop this man. Thank goodness Republicans are starting to stand up to him even though the alt-right-nut freaks like yourself still defend him and deflect by trying to throw obama under the bus

    1. Invoking violence against people who disagree with him
    2. Wasting taxpayer money on a "Voter Fraud Panel" - one in which not a single state has agreed to turn over the requested private data, including the leaders of the panel
    3. Attacking the courts as biased and thus undermining the judiciary branch. Attacking the media as bias for reporting the truth about him, again undermining our democracy
    4. Pulling out of a non-binding Climate agreement that makes no difference except to cost Americans jobs
    5. Destroying our science programs thus letting other countries beat us technologically, all to give rich people a miniscule tax break they won't even notice.
    6. Having many many many links to Putin and then crying about his own Justice Department investigating his admin for these links and abuse of power
    7. Not passing a single piece of legislation associated with a campaign promise, in fact derailing efforts
    8. Being completely uneducated on issues and 9. letting foreign leaders fleece the united states - so far China, Russia, and Saudi Arabia all have gotten something out of the man through what is essentially favors for his children or other businesses and many other nations are lining up.
    10. Gutting key govt agencies such as the state department so they can not function and giving our geopolitical adversaries a YUGE advantage
    11. Lying every other word and pissing on the presidency as if it's his personal litter box

I can go on and on and on. Man is destroying the country

Are you kidding. He is going to DDT the press like Jake the Snake

    Didn't you see that tweet

I don't mean to defend stupidity and childishness from a President but Democrats, CNN, etc make themselves look bad by turning stupid tweets into supposed threats.

Trump is the one whose been falsely accused of rape while running against a female contender and accused of cheating when he out campaigned her.

He has the right to be upset

What a wonderful world when all adults have that type of altitude - the right to be upset. Constant snow-flaking meltdown.

Luckily for most of us, many adults are mature stable individuals with the ability to self regulate and self control. Unfortunately for all of us, the POTUS isn't one of those.

there hasn't been a lack of fair and good criticism; they involve fair and good criticism

    bad news = fake news
    violent suggestion toward news

    those are not criticism

i can only think of stupid or blind thinking so; but i could be wrong

Of course you are. You have some type of bizarre admiration for Trump that comes across solely through the number of posts you have on defending him. It's pretty easy to figure out.

It's amazing to me, people forget all the disgusting things said about Obama it seems and his family and he never once lashed back.

Go back to Bush, he was even more mature and presidential than Trump.

You are the president, not the dear leader, you should expect some criticism. You should expect people to come hard at you verbally. That's just how it is.

I'm sure he'll say he didn't vote for him too like bobby, spaceghost, etc. but defend anything and everything he does no matter how repulsive.

Sean Hannity and the folks on CNN like Jeffery Lord have these guys trained like foot soldiers... it's just when it comes to it they still don't want to say they voted for the guy as a way to sort of make the person debating them/Trump feel non-objective and overly partisan... which is complete crap and on purpose.

You are the one defending the indefensible bubba. The right plays nothing but head games and they are well trained at it.

By that logic you admired Hitler when he was winning. Winning elections isn't a barometer for competency.

This country needs competency from our president. Americans miss the day when their leader met another foreign leader with knowledge and actually studies in preparation.

Do you understand that it is fact that there is intercepted the communication of Putin himself ordering the interference into our election?

Do you understand that it is fact that Russia tried to hack into the registration of voter rolls and actual machines of almost every single state in the United States?

Since you are using pgabriel's account at perhaps the request of the Kremlin, you probably do understand that Russia has paid people to spread propaganda favorable to Russia.

Except it set a tone for more divisiveness and violent. Criticism of and calling out POTUS childish immature behaviors isn't freaking out.

Do you mean the sh*thole of r****ds that is often common in social media? The threats, words, languages used in social media that people would rarely said to each other in person? Trump doing that as POTUS may be fine with you, but not me. Not for POTUS. Oh man, how low have we gone.
