    2004-2005

Mike James was great that year. Tracy was better than he is now. The Rocks should have beat Dallas that year.

The 04-05 team would probably beat out the rest just because we had Sura.

Up until the last couple seasons, our teams have been pretty much average.

05-05 was the last time we had a legit top 5 player and yao was pretty good too.

And people complain about T-Mac not being able to get us past the 1st round when he and Yao had NO help. Add 2004 T-Mac on THIS team right now and we would be in the Finals whooping the Magic. Real talk.

the 04 05 team was great during the year, they burned out agains dallas. juwan howard was hurt agains dalla, and you were relying on juwan howard, you were relying on sura, barry, and wesly. did sura even play anymore after that series.

04-05 T-mac was at the top of his game, but the role players were far inferior compared to the role players we had 07-08..

Agreed. Last year's team was strong in all positions, while during 04-05 we had Ryan Flyin' Bowen as the starting power forward.

Last year's team won 22 games in a row. Last year's team, if healthy, could've won the average-across-the-board West.

Though I'll argue that this year's team would've beat last year's team :D

    That team with Swift.

Frahm was meant to be the shooter we needed.

    Anderson the slasher/3rd scorer.

Swift the perfect compliment to Yaoza.

Terrible memories....looking back its hard to tell why we
had so much enthusiasm going in.

Were it not for the Yao injury last year, we had a good shot at being the #1 seed. It's not even a contest which of these teams were better.

If you follow Rocket River's posts, you could see he made this thread hoping people would say the rosters post-T-Mac-trade were no better than the teams led by Francis/Mobley, as he never supported the trade.

    Why would I *hope* that?

    BUT!
The reality is. . . . While you TOFs are so busy throwing TMAC's teammates under the bus
    I think we can see
He had more to work with than Cuttino and Steve
    and
he has accomplished just as much

    *grin*

but I just wanted to see where we see our talent base as looking
It seems BY FAR folx at saying last years team

    Rocket River
.. . so now you TOFs can stop throwing the teammates under the bus
and simply start saying TMAC has had bad luck . . . injuries to key people etc

    ?

TMac is one of the best playoff performers of All-Time.

It's ridiculous to say, TMac + Francis/Mobley all achieved the same results come playoff time.

How were our regular seasons with TMac? Who was our closer with TMac?

I remember when we played the Lakers in the playoffs with Francis/Mobley, and we needed a shot to win it, we went with Jim Jackson.

Point is, the Francis/Mobley trade was a GOOD trade.
